Severs proved a huge acquisition...but certainly a team effort and Justin Evans would have to be commended also (the Jason Kreis of USL D-2)!

KC, you know if the first round is a one or two game (aggregate) playoff?

I could be wrong but I'm guessing the last time the league had a 2-game aggregate was when we lost 6-1 to Charlotte(4-0 home).
If it's just one game, we're probably away.

Not probably but definitely away - against either Richmond or Charleston. Probably Richmond but that's definitely not set in stone yet.

2006 was the last year the league had a 2-game aggregate for D2, but they still continued them for D1.

Thanks, Fred. Well, Charleston has not clinched yet, but they do lead the league and considering there are only 6 teams, half of which are in, I'd say Richmond will be our opponent with the winner playing Charleston. And we won our series over you(2 wins) so I like our chances. The win over the Battery was our first. Only the details are needed for the playoffs. The 'Hounds are confident now, especiallly after playing before our largest crowd(1,657).

Code:

x1. Charleston 10-5-4 32-25 +7 35
x2. Richmond 9-5-5 24-19 +5 32
x3. Pittsburgh 7-7-5 26-19 +7 28
---------------------------------------
z4. Charlotte 5-7-7 23-27 -4 22
z5. Harrisburg 4-6-9 20-29 -9 18
z6. Maryland 3-8-8 15-21 -6 17

X- Clinched playoff spot
Z- Eliminated

Charleston needs 1 point, or for Richmond to not win OR if Charleston lose and Richmond win with a total goal difference of no more then 2. (Richmond winning 1-0 and Charleston losing 1-0 means Charleston wins the league, Richmond winning 2-0 and Charleston losing 1-0 or the reverse, Richmond wins the league)

Richmond needs to win and have Charleston lose AND the aggregate goal difference needs to be +3 or more.

Pittsburgh- Cannot move up or down or sideways or anywhere.. they're stuck in 3rd and will be on the road for the playoffs.

Playoffs

8/21 Pittsburgh @ Charleston or Richmond
8/28 Semi Final winner at Charleston or Richmond
