Dang, fine time to lose one(1-0). Who scored for Richmond? by the way, How long has your ficility been known as City Stadium? It used to belong to Univ. of Richmond.

Bobby Fogelsong scored in the 8th minute. It was City Stadium from the 20s up through about 1990ish then the City leased the stadium to U of Richmond for $1 + maint. U R just built their own on campus stadium so they turned U R Stadium back into the city back in May. The City is seriously considering ripping it down and building housing on the property now.

Anyone know why Delicate and Villaneuva went out? I know injury, but what and how severe? I guess Deli was a concussion concern, and Villaneuva was a pull?

it looked like Deli went to get stiches, but the concussion issue makes sense also. Johnny looked like a pull of some kind but that was totally the opposite end of the field from me.

(psst Ratt...it's Foglesong) You're correct, it was a dang fine time for you all to lose Seriously, from everything I have read, you all have been the better team this season in our series so it's really nice to get the win off of you Free pizza but it was a breadsticks goal (Ratt will know what is meant by that) It was hot as _____ (that was the official temp. seriously) out there tonight. Both teams must have been completely exhauseted, especially the fleabags since they played in Charlotte the night before news watch - Deli recieved a very deep cut on his temple. It was still pretty swollen at Gus' though he said he will be fine. I'm assuming he took a cleat to the head but didn't verify that with him. Have no idea about Villy

Thanks, Mikey.
We're still in third place but now we have to win again on Sat(RM) since Charlotte plays Charleston. I'm sure the 'Hounds will stay in third, though. This loss only makes things closer. And playing back to back is tough, and in heat!

eye kannt spel. aye wint two publik skewel LOL, neither can I, believe me. As a matter of fact I know I had at least one spelling/typing error myself in that reply. I just thought that after scoring our only goal and providing us all with free pizza that he probably deserved to have his name spelled correctly

high temp today was 107 add humidity and it felt like 115 or more. NOT fun to be in the crowd and even less fun playing in that crap.

I'm sorry to hear about your guy, Matthew Delicate, getting the bloody eye in that header collision. I read that he needed 6 stitches.

You think you had problems Rat !
Poor old Pompey had thier Chicago - DC flight cancelled, so a 27 hr drive on a coach, their kit disappeared so it was DC's away kit for the game, and then we wonder why they did so bad.
All in all considering they were 4th or 5th choice at best for this game nobody back home thinks they should have bothered coming over anyway.
As for me, I could have stayed at home last night rather than end up in a lovely DC hospital...

Deli's injury looked like an elbow to me, but I wasn't in the best position to judge. My pics are up (thanks for the kind words, Fred, but don't sell yourself short!): http://public.fotki.com/pattiea/soc/10/100724/

Just keeping it real. Overall I have been less than pleased with my photography this season (though this group was slightly better than the last game I shot). But I still enjoy taking photos and feel lucky that people seem to appreciate them

I read about it in your paper, but I would guess that it probably was an elbow, though unintentional. It happens when players go up for the ball on headers. I hate to see blood involved in a play, no batter who it is, though.

Mikey, you said yourself that we've dominated the series this year(which we won), so why would he risk a yellow or possibly Red card and put the 'Hounds in jeopardy when we are fighting for a playoff spot? Everyone on the 'Hounds is trying to win and maintain our hold on the final ps spot. Forget history, look at reality! Like I said, I'm sorry that MD got injured.

If MD was still on the field after he was attended to, did you even look to see if they talked after the game? That would say a lot(imo)

Because like most of Shitzburg's 'athletes' he thinks he is above the law and can get away with it.
Yeah would say a lot if they talked..Did he say well played old chap, or you *%&$& I'll get you next game ?

Ummm, maybe for the same reason that Kouadio-Tobey got a yellow for throwing a hissy fit? Why did he put his team at risk for something so stupid? I'm not saying that I think T-Mac's hit was intentional - personally I don't think it was. But as shown by Kouadio-Tobey, players do things in the heat of the moment (no pun intended); whether they are fighting for a playoff spot, have dominated the series, etc has nothing to do with it. If it did then the fleabags would have been 100% angels, which they certainly weren't.

how can YOU say it was unintentional when you weren't withing 300 miles of the game... as usual. Once again youre trying to tell people who in attendance and WATCHING THE GAME what happened when you were at home listing to Lawrence Welk 78s
