Wait...you mean Crystal Palace Baltimore couldn't get a web feed going? Surely you jest.

Yeah. I'm sure that Baltimore didn't show the match with the sole intent of pissing off soccer boy.

I'm just glad that they are still playing (even though the club is going the wrong way in the standings).

That might have been what they had in mind. But seriously folks, why didn't they show it?

Oh, I'm certain that wasn't their intent. They probably had good intentions. They're just inept.

Seriously, I am not trying to be negative. I'm just trying to keep it real.

Maybe the couldn't manage the logistics of the change of venue. Just a guess.

I'm just happen that we are managing to field a team and that players appear be payed on time.
If we manage o get the webcasts off then great. I fully realize that we have an obligation to do so. If we don't then you have my sincerest apologies (no sarcasm there, at all).

That doesn't help with the justified frustrations that are the result of not being able to watch the match but that is the best that I can do as the last Baltimore supporter posting on this message board.

Honestly, I was just curious. I was borderline catatonic after the US v Ghana match and remembered the NSC game at about 7. A live feed would not have done me much good on Saturday.

I am still catatonic after that ressult.

I am also curious to know why the venue was changed, then the time changed to earlier but I never asked. That game became a complete afterthought for me once I knew that the US was going to face Ghana in the Round of 16.

A 4pm start time when the World Cup match begins at 1:30 seems a bit on the counterproductive side.

What was the original time? I believe you're precluded from playing matches at the same time as a World Cup match. With ET being 6 hours behind SAST, 4pm ET would be about as early as you could go, wouldn't it?

Apparently there was a pre-game World Cup watch party.

The original start time was 7pm.

Last Wednesday or Thursday the season ticket holders received an email explaining that the match time was being pushed up. The same day that we received the news there was word that there would be big screen tvs and tents to watch the US-Ghana match before the game.

Ah, so that's why they did it. To capitalize. Okay.

And they changed venues? Was that a one-off or have they decided that UMBC (was that where they were playing) wasn't right for them?

I just needed to see some quality soccer after the US attempted to play soccer v. Ghana. What a joke! I think Bradley should be run out of town. Ugh!!!

So Yankiboy, where did all the Crystal Palace Balitmore "posters" go--why are you the last one left?

I will have to make it up to Baltimore for a match. I know I have a trip or two out to DC her later this summer. Is the stadium easy to get to from DC?

I don't know what the deal was with the venue change. One of the players was alum and the catholic school has a nice soccer tradition (think Santino Quaranta played there a season before turning pro) but no explanation was ever given for the venue change.

I'm not sure if UMBC was booked for something else or what. I have no idea what is going on with the club. I really don't. I care. I just don't know what is going on over there.

Other than trying to pay people on time and save the club.

I'm not going to touch that one. I'm still bitter.

We never had a lot here to begin with. At least when Puerto Rico stated in the A-League there was a decent number of posters here for the first 2-3 seasons (a lot of thanks goes to BUCK for agitating us so much--seriously). Baltimore never built up any serious momentum posting here.

Some of the posters who left no longer follow the club (even after talking about how defecting to the NASL was a good move). A few post on Big Soccer.

If you got a rental car and stay on the Maryland side then it is very easy. If you stay in DC proper then it can be a bit of a headache (just making it out of the city). If you stay in NOVA then it could be an even bigger headache.

If you do make it this way, holler at me before you buy a ticket. With them getting bounced so early in the USOC and my wife not going to more than a game or two a year, I got several to share if you would like one.

So losing 2-1 to Ghana in extra time makes the USMT a joke that can only attempt to play soccer? Are you going to be chasing Bradley with a pitchfork?

They lost, therefore, they suck.
