I have been checking the standings, and also whom is being who. I have noticed somewhat of a trend toward league parity. Some of the "better teams" are not necessarily pulling away from the "bad teams." There also seems to be a significant amount of drawn matches. There was also some commentary about this during the halftime of the Rochester/Baltimore match this evening.
It will be interesting if any teams pull away from the others as the season goes on.

I think a lot of this is skewed by the messed up scheduling.
PPG table... Aust 2.17 PR 2 Port 1.83 Roch 1.83 FCTB 1.6 Mont 1.6 Van 1.5 Car 1 Mia 1 (way to draw every game cheaters) NSC .875 CPB .67 (Still dominating the 'worst name in sports' table) STL .57 (They drink our bathwater)
To put this in perspective the PPG in the EPL this past season was...
Chel$ki 2.26 ManUre 2.24 Arse 1.97 . . . . . Pompey .74
Austin/STL=3.79 Chel$ki/Pompey=3.07
So clearly the EPL has greater parity, and clearly that league has haves and have-nots. The good news is, the Stars .875 PPG would be good enough for 16th in the EPL, narrowly avoiding the drop zone.

Good work with the numbers, but I have a feeling the Stars would be a little further down the win/loss table in the EPL. LOL Yes, I know that's not your point. Good comparison on league parity, bad spelling check.

Ya gotta admit that when you're not arguing with Bernie he can be kinda funny.
Now Sir, please don't rip me new one just because I used your name in a nice way for a change. I spend a bunch of my time coaching little girls and boys to play this British game. I deserve a break for that once in a while.
Parity in the league = Communism
I guess the NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB are really bad sports leagues then, ahe?
(ahe... That's Canadian for, what do you think?)

Yeah. Our name is not so good. But... we at least can't be excused of naming our club after a hockey franchise that rolled out to Texas back in the day. One could argue that looks worse. [Stone thrown right back in your direction]. Really looking forward to seeing Palace take maximum points from Minnesota this season.

You mean the maximum for Palace, right?
Enjoy that point.

The league table is shoring up as teams are getting closer to the amount of games played by Minnesota. So, after the middle of next week we should be close to seeing how everyone is doing, save Peurto Rico which still has another week off!

You missed my joke entirely. I wasn't drawing a comparison between parity and communism, genius. Look at the spelling of "parity" in the thread name. At first glance, I thought it said "party."

Parity = Communism? Parity only equals communisim if the government, through force, tries to achieve partiy. It would be kind of like the Stars getting a red card at the beginning of every match--even before the first KO.
