team looked very sharp in their home opener. game ended in 0-0 draw, but that doesn't begin to tell the story. some very crisp team play. vastly improved in every part of the field. it was a miracle that nashville left with a point and no one on their team would take exception to my saying that.

once again, we are very strong in goal. carl is back and looking good and 2009 PDL goalkeeper of the year and SC Gamecocks starter jimmy maurer is added. both of these guys are good enough to play professionally after college should they desire to do so.

lots to comment on, but i'm really tired. the returnees are better than ever and there are some really good new guys who are ready to contribute right away. of the returnees, same arthur is playing forward of where he was last year and looked very sharp tonight. much to talk about with the new guys as well, but gambian under 20 Ebrima Njie really has strengthened the back 4.

this team is stronger talent wise and plays better as a unit than last year's team. i don't want to start any stupid talk about how this team can go win it all, but i can say this is a good looking team that anyone can be proud to support.

you guys who know me know that if the team were a POS, i wouldn't lead you on like this. this team is good stuff and worth coming out to see.
