How does this affect the CP Baltimore franchise ?

I assume there was a definite link between the two sides ?

Maybe James the CPB FO main man can stop by and comment (like he did a month or so ago about the issue of whether the Baltinmore club pays a fee to use the brand).

This has been rumored to be coming for a while.

My uninformed impression is that it won't really have any significant effect because they pretty much weren't doin jack financially for our local club. It was more of the local club being the parent club's US based talent scounts...

But of course, James could elaborate much better than I ever could. Maybe if he can break away from all of his other duties he could give us some insights...

What exactly does "going into administration" entail...if it can be easily explained? Can you get healthy & "come out of it"?

something akin to Chapter 11 bankruptcy but not exactly. An outside administrator is appointed to come in and get things right, sell assests etc as needed. In fact one of Palace's better players was benched by the administrator yesterday until he can be sold.
Administrator won't let Moses play

Pompey, Notts County & Chester City are close behind.

Pompey's official website was shut down today for unpaid bills, although it was back in place 3 hrs later.

When one gets down to where Chester City is (Blue Square Premier), most of the clubs are existing month to month at this point. I get Please Send Money emails from Ebbsfleet United twice a week.

Didn't Ebbsfleet go for the fans owning them ?

Latest on Pompey... Begovic & Kaboul off to Spurs for around 5 million quid. Funnily enough Kaboul was worth over 10 million a couple of weeks ago. Still doing favours for that (expletives of your choice) Redknaspp. The guy doing the negotiating for Pompey is a convicted fraudster back in his native Isreal.

I swear you couldn't dream this up and make it seem believable.

Ebbsfleet is owned by MyFC, which currently has around 3,500 members. It is not owned by the fans in the same way that AFC Wimbledon and Exeter City are.

CPB issues statement on Crsyal Palace's administration woes:

"Everyone at Crystal Palace Baltimore is saddened to hear the news from Crystal Palace in the UK that the club has been placed in administration. For the sake of all the staff, players and fans, we hope for a speedy and positive resolution.

In response to concerns about how the UK club’s financial situation affects the Baltimore club, Crystal Palace President Pete Medd stated: "While the news out of London is not welcome news for Palace fans worldwide, we want to assure our supporters and the North American soccer community that this situation does not affect Crystal Palace Baltimore’s operation or finances. However, we are very close to the staff and ownership there, and we’re pulling for them to get a favorable resolution. Times are tough and Crystal Palace has been a great partner over the years and we really hope for a positive outcome."
