Alright, I know many of you are still depressed, saddened, and furious over the demise of our beloved Thunder. I expect many will always feel like a piece of their heart was ripped out. Personally, I have come to terms with the disaster and am ready to move on, but I understand if others are hesitant.

For those willing to give a shot to the new team at the NSC we should talk here about what we would like to see from the organization and our own members.

Here is what I want to see (don't get angry about the order of my list, it is just a brainstorm):
1) Tickets taken at the North End
2) Porta Johns behind the beer garden
3) Improved play on the field

I also think that the "Dark Cloud" moniker be kept as it has history and like mentioned at the Town Hall a few nights back many groups have kept old names and identities despite a changing of the guard.

Other thoughts?

Right now I would like a team. That is the extent of my wish list at the moment.

With that said, any increased restroom capacity at the NSC would be a good thing.

I've only been here for a little more than 2 seasons, but loved the Thunder to an unreasonable extent. grin I'm past the furious part but still a little sad and depressed. I'll get over that as the season approaches and I have a new team to get excited about.

That said, I'd like a team with a decent name and logo and improved restroom facilities. It's a LONG walk for the fans seated in the far side bleachers... (not that I spend time there, but I think more people would sit over there, or return to more games, if there were restrooms closer.)

I'm not as tied to the Dark Clouds name. If we're starting a new team, and a different supporters group name makes more sense, I wouldn't be against a change.

Oh yeah, and a scoreboard that we wouldn't be ashamed of would be nice...

As I've mentioned before, it wasn't the team or the name, it was the people near me in the stands and the guys on the field for me. As long as there is still a good team, with good people screaming bizarre things at them I'm happy.

Obviously things like name, colors and logo would be nice. Having the gate du Nord open for ticket taking and a discrete hole in the ground near the beer garden would be nice. A scoreboard that can't be hidden by a poorly placed golf cart would be good too.

I could go either way on the Dark Clouds name, though I think I lean towards a fresh start. Other than a brick at Toyota Park and a few flags, I'm not sure there's a whole lot riding on the name outside of the group.

Although name and logo are seemingly secondary, the ability to sell gear is an important revenue stream when attendance is not going to pay the bills.

You are precisely correct regarding the long walk. My wife enjoys the front row of the far side bleachers because it is so close to the pitch, but unless the Schwans building is open for us to sneak the children into for restroom breaks we miss significant parts walking to and fro.

That's about where I'm at.

But as long as we're discussing restrooms, if the NSC can see their way to also throwing a diaper changing station into the existing restrooms under the main stand, that would be nice.

As for team colors, I've always felt that beige was under-utilized in professional sports uniforms generally.

I could live with beige but it would really not hurt my feelings if we avoided brown.
