Apparently the great NASL has purchased the rights to the Baltimore Bays name ( NASL Purchase Bays name ). This confuses me since there is already a Baltimore Bays youth system in Baltimore. It's national ranked as well, thus not a small deal. It is run by Baltimore Blast GM Kevin Healey. Since CP Baltimore has 'burned the bridge' with both organizations recently, I wonder how this will work. have they made a working agreement with both? Little known info is that CP Baltimore PAYS Crystal Palace for use of the name. The thought for owners was that the name would draw people in. That hasn't really been the case unfortunately. I assume the hope is that a name change would boost awareness in Baltimore. I also assume that the Crystal Palace agreement could also be dropped. Now to the point, which former name would you most want Baltimore to take?

I still can't make up my mind on how to voet.
Just saw on Skysports last night that Crystal Palace has a cashflow problem and that players and staff are going to receive their wages 10 days late...
Maybe this would be a good time for Baltimore to rebrand. Maybe not. After 3 years of being known as Palace maybe the club should make the Bays switcharoo...
Maybe London will not be willing to waive the fee for the name usage. I am not so sure that the Baltimore ownership should be paying for it if it is anything more than a minimal--like 5K (dollars) a year. Since they are "moving up" London should give them a break because the brand will be potentially a little better exposed...

I'd say you answered your own question there, they won;t send a check to London & have a new "brand" = All consistent with Owners that were out for an el-cheapo way into a pie in the sky DIV2 USSF slot. Just saw on Skysports last night that Crystal Palace has a cashflow problem and that players and staff are going to receive their wages 10 days late... EXCELLENT - There were just a couple of Players there The Battery was looking at... like PR we actually pay our guys on time~!

Little known info is that CP Baltimore PAYS Crystal Palace for use of the name. Nottingham Bill - perhaps the reason it's little known is that it's entirely wrong? Conjecture on any subject is what these forums are all about! But wording is important - please be careful before making apparent statements of fact without being 100% certain of their veracity. Cheers, James.

James, kinda of ironic that you passed by. Always good to see you.
Can you give the CPB season ticketholders and supporters any idea on when the club will issue more information about the changes?
Cheers.

Good to see you too Yankiboy As you can imagine, there's a lot still to be sorted out. But we'll do our level best to post an update for supporters - including of course loyal season ticket holders like your good self - some time next week! Cheers, James.

James, I can only imagine how many changes the FO/Ownership is going through with this move...
Looking forward to seeing how this all works out.
Some of us will actually miss your "Umbro--LIVE the game!!!" plugs over the stadium PA. We went from laughing at them to be annoyed by them to joining reciting the spot, laughingly making it a CPB ritual of sorts...
Thanks a lot, Mate.
