Goals- Alexander 60' (Burke); Ssejjemba 80' (Watson); McEachron 89'
Booking- Gorres
Carolina- John O'Hara, Richard Mupfudze, Caleb Norkus, David Stokes, Frankie SanFilippo, Chris Carrieri, Johnny Steele, Stuart Brightwell, Kupano Lowe, Connally Edozien, Kevin Jeffrey
Subs used- Santiago Fusillier, Dario Brose, Mark Jonas Jon Caldwell, Brian Cvilikas, Eric Kauffman
Goal - Jeffrey 26'
Booking- Johnny Steele
Referee- Shaun Papperman- No rating since it is PREseason... but ugh.
Thoughts- No dissing the Railhawks, but they are the headcase team of the leage. This is a group of decent individual talent who have no concept of TEAM. It's going to be a LONG year in Cary if things don't improve... but with Schweitzer as coach, did anyone expect anything different? The Hawks would be a good D2 team but they're in a world of SH** in D1. Richmond will be just fine, baring injuries of course. Once Gorres gets into game shape and out Das Beer League mode he'll ownn the midfield. Matt Watson was outstanding once again totally creating Robert Ssejjemba's game winning goal. Trey Alexander was also very impressive. Wow we scored on a corner kick... mark this day down on the calendar!

You guys are in for a long season in D1. Not enough DEFENCE. I think that if you guys are going ot have any success you need some TREES on the back line if you are going to compete against Montreal or ROTchester.

It's goal scoring. We've played 4 games now and we've scored three goals. We're still missing Dombrowski who should steady the backline. What I think we need is more TEAM mentality, especially in the midfield transition.

I'm still confident that you'll also be getting another player soon that should help you in the goal scoring department It's just pre-season but I have to agree with you on the team mentality; at least last night. Also, one of my friends and I were talking about how we didn't feel like some of the 'Hawks were taking the match too seriously. Admittedly it was pre-game that this comment was made but to a certain extent I think it still held true through-out the game. Then again, there were some players that did take it seriously too. Nice to see KJ score again, even if it was against us. Of course in the end it didn't make a difference. If that had been a winning goal I probably wouldn't have liked it quite as much
