Maybe a return?

Since Cleveland has left D2 for the next level, I wondered if the Cincinnati Kings had any thoughts of returning to D2? You've only been in PDL for one season, but I noticed that your attendence is far from what it was in D2 and the Kings would not only be represending Ohio, but renewing the rivalry with the Riverhounds, who are currently the farthest team West in the D2. Just a thought.

I just visited the website, why did they take the name Cincinnati out of Kings Soccer?

Just a thought. I dont see the 'Cincinnati Kings' moving back to the upper levels. They are making to much money from the Soccer Academy end of the business. I do wish someone would bring the 'professional' game back to Cincinnati.

I feel for you and your fans, C.M. I last checked the website and found the 'Cincinnati' left out of the team website. I was hoping our rivalry would build. You and your fans deserve to have pro soccer back in that city(imo).

You got me checking other PDL team websites: Chicago Fire ( http://www.chicagofirepremier.com/): It does not appear to have been updated. Still has 2007's schedule. TERRIBLE Cleveland Internationals ( http://www.internationalssoccer.com/): Mirrors the Kings website. Looks as though it is a youth soccer club site.
Forest City London (http://www.fclondon.ca/): Up to date website. Starts with a video of press conference introducing the team to the area. Site pays particular attention to the newest member of USL with hardly a mention of this being a club for youth soccer. Lists of a couple of camps for youth soccer is listed. Decent site.
Fort Wayne Fever (http://www.fwfever.com/): The site is makes it quite clear that this is a youth club but however there is a link to the Men's PDL squad.
Indiana Invaders (http://www.invadersfc.com/): Another youth team site. Again there is a link to the Men's PDL squad.
Kalamazoo Outrage (http://www.kalamazoooutrage.com/index.php): Mentions PDL and W-League teams. PDL link sends you to the teams site on the USL Soccer pages.
Michigan Bucks (http://www.buckssoccer.com/): Great site. Keys in on the Men's PDL team. I wish all the sites were such as this. They seem a top class organization.
Toronto Lynx (http://www.lynxsoccer.com/): Front page as picture of womens team. Has link for men's team but just shows a team picture. No schedule listed for the men. Youth teams are listed as well.
I just looked at teams in Cincinnati's division. It seems the way of the PDL is to provide youth soccer to the areas they are in. Dont get me wrong, there is nothing at all wrong with that. It is just that when we are wanting professional soccer and dont have it, it is disappointing. The Kings were giving us hope for the growth of professional soccer in the area and it failed to materialize.
Oh well, Columbus is not that far away to appreciate the professional game. It's not England but it will do....

I don't know the Kings current status, but I wonder if their ownership would consider joining the USL PRO? I've noticed that their crowds have grown and I think they can make the Northeast Division better. I wonder how Kings fans feel about the idea.

Matters not what the fans think, it is not them that have to inject the cash to get the team going and to sustain its expenses over a season, let alone seasons is it ?

USLPro travel will almost double for next season. It's quickly becoming USL-1 v 2.0. I don't see many new teams wanting to join.

Since when have you two becoome Kings fans? by the way, Mikey, with the 15 teams USL PRO has now, I beg to differ on your opinion of new teams not wanting to join.

Just curious, what was said in either of their posts that indicates they have become Kings fans?? I'm not saying they are; I'm not saying they aren't. I just don't see how you have determined that they are fans from what they wrote

What possible reason doe the King's have for going to USLPro?!? Last year they had quick little trips to Chicago, Cleveland, Pontiac, Dayton, London, Toronto & For Wayne and Kalazoo... and what was their player payroll??? Oh yeah.. ZERO,nada, nil, zippo!
Why on earth would they now want to PAY players and travel to such far flung outposts as Fullerton, Long Island, Rochester, Fort Lauderdale, Puerto Rico ??? ESPECIALLY when there is already a team 20 miles up the road in Dayton willing to do just that??? Then you'd get into a bidding war and saleries would jud go that much higher.
Leave the Kings alone, they tried USL2, they didn't like it, they seem to be happy in PDL... let them have their own little thing, because unless you're financially backing them... its not your money they'll be hemorrhaging out their bums

ESPECIALLY when there is already a team 20 miles up the road in Dayton willing to do just that??? Dayton as in Dayton Dutch Lions? If they are that close to Cincy even if the Kings wanted* to go to USL Pro they might not be able to due to regional rights. *not that they have even shown any interest in wanting to
