ok, i read earlier that people were wondering just how many players quit and I have an official answer, it was 3, not 2. Jamal Schtewie ( i know i messed up his last name but i dont really care) Albert Gross, and Craig Rhodis. None of them were really major players and all got little to no playing time. Jamal was a good college player, but might have lacked the experience needed at the pro level. And about the finances, if you knew that the owner is willing to lose $800,000 before pulling the plug, then I highly doubt the team is having a money issue this early. So to all those who wondered about who quit, there is your answer.

I agree, but I find it strange that Chickenhawk implies these players quit for the same reasons x Riverhawks did.

I know for a fact it had nothing to do with not getting paid, being treated like dirt or all the other rubish that went on with the Hawks.

It was clearly an adult decision. All 3 decided to go their own ways and persue a new career, for what ever reason.

The Kings are a 1st class organization from top to bottom from what I have seen.

A refreashing change to say the least.

Regarding Chickenhawk, it seems like it's more a matter of people having unrealistic expectations. Whether the Riverhawks or the Kings, it is essentially semi-pro soccer. It's not MLS or MUnited. These players are playing for little more than a paid hobby because they enjoy the game and the atmosphere. The fans come for the same reason - fun. If at this point the expectations are any more than that, it is unrealistic to impose that on a developing first-year franshise. Where the Kings do or don't go in the future remains to be seen. If Chickenhawk is brilliant enough to predict that, perhaps he should try his luck betting on horses.

As far as the Kings, USLD2 is not the MLS, but it is a league and it is good to see the Kings so well supported and doing well. I'm glad to see pro soccer(it is still pro) back in that city, and I know many of you are as well. I know there are still some skeptics there, but there are more true fans(supporters).
