Thanks Kings1776. Hope things turn around for you guys. I know how frustrating it can be to go games w/o scoring. Kickers went through that last season. We had 5 games in a row where we didn't score any goals, then managed 3 where we scored 1 goal, and then in the next 4 out of 5 we were back to not scoring at all. As a fan its hard to take no matter how much you love and support your team

The first 45 minutes was not really very good for either team. While Richmond did score and had a couple of good chances, neither team could maintain possession. The one bright spot for both was the counterattack, it worked well for both teams in the first half. The second half (up to 70th minute when I had to take my 2 year old home.) was much better football. The Kings enjoyed more possession and finally found some width. The had a good deal of success attacking down the right flank and to a lessor degree down the left flank. They could have equalised except for some poor choices by the strikers and central midfielders at the top of the box. From my point of view, the Kings played much better when the changes where made at the half.

Kings 1776, Not sure that I agree with you that Richmond was the better side on Saturday night. The free kick they scored off was one that Jordan was slow to react to. He was visibly upset with himself for allowing that goal and would probably be the first to tell you that 99% of the time he'd have made that save. I'd agree that Richmond had the better of the possession in the first half, but, they threatened very little in the second half. On the other hand, the Kings had several good scoring chances, including a one on one five feet from the goal that Jonesy somehow found the post instead of the net. The score was disappointing, but, the effort and intensity our boys showed, especially in the last twenty minutes, gave me reason to see light at the end of this goalless tunnel.
P.S. Josh Barton broke his nose 5 minutes into the game. He came off the field (a bloody mess) and the trainer told him the nose was broken. He laughed it off and played with a broken nose the rest of the game. As a Kings fan, I might be disappointed that we're not winning or scoring goals, but, the guys who are laying out on the line (like Barton) are even more upset about how things are going right now. No need to worry, just more resolve to support these guys through good times and bad.
