See the email reply below that I received from Joe Sierko. Some good
stuff to look forward to in the near future:
Thanks for your interest in the Harrisburg City Islanders. We have
had a tremendous amount of success, behind the scenes, in the past
two months. We have already received numerous season ticket orders,
Club Paradise Seats (VIP) are close to selling out and we have had
several Soccer Associations commit to large blocks of tickets. Many
area businesses have also joined our team as marketing partners.
Our only "problem" to date has been the processing of player
contracts. We underestimated how long approval would take in our
initial season. The good news is that it has been resolved.
Here is a sneak preview of what's coming up for the City Islanders:
December 16th
- Press Conference (Twin Ponds West) 1:00pm - announce first player
signed
- Season tickets go on sale to general public
December 23rd
- Press Release - announce two more players
- New Website Online
January 6th and 7th
-Open tryouts - LANCO Fieldhouse (9am-Noon)
Week of January 12th
-informal kick-arounds begin at area indoor facilities
January 14th
- Press Conference (Angelo's Soccer Corner - Mech.) 1:00pm - announce
player signing and uniform deal
That's just a quick look at the near future. I will be updating
