I posted some new info on the blog about training camp. It started today. Sounds like Mo Odur is all but signed. Details are almost all ironed out just needs to be official. I think US work visa issues were at hand. Not sure on Marples. He may still be with the Battery. Keeper Chris McClellan's name was mentioned in the local paper but I understand that may not be happening now. We will see. Heins is out for sure though. He signed with the Rhinos.

We still need a goalie, two to be exact. I have faith. The City Islanders always pull good goalies out of their butts somehow.

The keeper void could be filled by Tomer Chencinski. He is in camp now and may play tonight in the scrimmage vs. Bucknell. Also cool to see Kai with the team. I will have a match report with pics and vids tomorrow.

That scrimmage is being held at Hempfield H.S., which is about an hour from here. I wish I could make it. look forward to hearing how it went.

Harrisburg beat Bucknell 1-0. Eddie Yah scored with an assist to Yu Hoshide. My blog has photos and videos from the match at http://blog.pennlive.com/upper90/2009/03/hci_vs_bucknell_match_report.html

It was cold! In the high 30's at the end of the match. We had a decent crowd for a preseason match.

Preseason is over. I posted numerous photos and videos on my blog from the Towson match at: http://blog.pennlive.com/upper90/2009/04/hci_vs_towson_match_report.html

Regular season is coming up! Can't wait.

Good pictures!
The Riverhounds begin before your Isles and hoping the Hounds will win.

Being that you are a Pittsburgh fan, I'll ask you. I have had a few people mention to me an idea that they think would be cool. It was mentioned to me that there should be a "Keystone Cup" for teams in Pennsylvania. Have Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, maybe the Reading Rage of the PDL, and the expansion Philly MLS team. all have a 3 or 4 team tourney during the course of the year and have a champ. Any thoughts? I thought it sounded cool. Even if it was just the two "Burghs" it would be neat but maybe add the MLS or PDL.

I like the idea! It may be another way to get more fans interested, especially around here.
