the islanders beat cincinnati 2-1 last night at skyline stadium in front of a record crowd of 3100. quite impressive. it was really a poor game, neither team playing well, but islanders got the result they were looking for in front of their fans. the kings seem to be on a bit of a slippery slope!

Actuall, it was 3,127, a standing room only and franchise record. But in defense of the Kings, they lost Friday nite and they had to travel right after that game and play the following night so what do you expect? From what I read, they put in a good effort in the second half. Hey, the Kings scored, I watched our hounds get shutout without traveling. www.goldentrianglesoccer.com (Covering the hounds F.C. and Sparks)

true, back to back games are hard. you rarely seem to see a team win their 2nd game on a road trip. plus it didn't help that kings only had 2 subs i think, and their coach was playing, who doesn't seem to be in the best of shape.

Glad I decided to reconsider my drop by visit of the City Islanders. I was planning on seeing them play again after they beat the Maryland "All Stars" 2-0.
I think I'll buy tickets for the July 9th match vs Wilmington.. Do you have season tickets tikimon?

no, i don't, but i wish i had bought them now. i thought i was going to miss a lot of games due to work, but looks like i can make almost every home game this year. if fans keep showing up like the last game, i suggest that you buy your tickets early Bill B, to ensure you get one!

Just wondering if the city made any improvements to the field for the second season? Has there been any talk of improving the field or putting in permant stands? I used to live in Harrisburg and think that it's a great location to draw from both the west and east shores. It would be nice to see the city bring it up to the level of the basball stadium.

there has been lots of talk over the past year or so about stadium improvements, but i've yet to see anything happen. It really is a great location, with so much potential, they just need to put a bit of money into it. Firstly get rid of the infield, which is a joke, improve the playing surface, and new seating to increase the capacity to say 4-5000

From the last crowd against Cincinnati, I would say improved seating is a must. I'm sure that won't be the last time a crowd like that turns out with the way Harrisburg is going. And from the money made from that crowd, will help. www.goldentrianglesoccer.com (Covering the hounds F.C. and Sparks)
