Bad move, bad bad move. NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER post a result of a game like this that is currently on tape delayed TV.

Thanks for ruining it for me. If I could give yellow or red cards on the board I would have.

I edited the thread to take the result out since it's still showing in the thread previews.

I'll post the final when the TV broadcast is over.

Yeah, well thanks for raining on our celebration. Not everyone HAS Fox Soccer, and some of us were forced to listen to the game on a very noisy radio link. Go ahead an delete this one, too. The real fans already know the result, 'cause it's all over the 'Net.

It's not on this board, and will not be until the game broadcast is over.

I am NOT raining on any celebration. You just don't understand basic board rules that exist on pretty much every sports board all over the net and if you were on most boards, you would have been banned by now.

Harrisburg wins 8-7 on PK's after a 1-1 regulation draw.

I would advise you remember that giving away a result in a thread title is a cardinal sin on any sports board when that game is on tape delay on TV, especially for a league final. I have been getting an earful tonight about it, and you should know you ruined the broadcast for quite a few people tonight.

Congratulations to the City Islanders, but learn some basic board etiquette before you post anywhere again.

TOTAL JUSTICE!!!
Na na na na na ... the ICKERS LOST!!! :p :p :p

And to a team that has the former VB goalie ... an even BETTER win just for that! Matt Nelson is a helluva goalie and one of the greatest guys playing the game today.

Good luck to him in Vancouver.

Congrats to the City Islanders ... YOU DID IT!!!

Woop woop!
Dancing the happy dance for you here in Va Beach!

That's ok, Suz ... reality hasn't quite set in yet, I'm sure. It's hard when your team loses to the best, isn't it?

Oh, and Pascale ... not that impressive either, if you ask me. That dive he took to fake trying to save the HCI goal ... WHATEVAH! lol... laugh

Oh reality has fully set in. Kickers lost in penalty kicks, a cheap way of deciding the game. They didn't really lose the game so much as HCI just happened to have won the championship. But the game itself ended in a 1-1 tie. So, no my team didn't lose to the best.

And I really don't care if you are impressed with Ronnie or not. The league obviously was....1st Team and Goaltender of the Year. Yeah Baby!! smile

See, Suz, that's why I like you ... you're soooooo funny. laugh You know just how to make a girl laugh ... thanks. laugh

If they didn't lose, then why does HCI have the championship trophy and not your Ickers? wink
Like I said on your board, you all would be claiming the exact same things we're bragging about here.
Good night and CONGRATS HCI!!!!

HCI ... 2007 D2 Champions!!!

Whoo whoooo!!!

Massive props to the Harrisburg City Islanders on your championship! You guys played well all season and you got the job done last night. You guys travel with some good supporters and your team was definitely one of the elite of the division this year. It is really impressive what you guys have done this year.

You should be proud.

Well Done City Isles and Supporters!
Enjoy. Crystal Palace Baltimore will be gunning for you next season along with every other club. smile

And to think. I just find you......annoying

Check out the USL scoreboard:

USL Second Division

Harrisburg City Islanders 1
Richmond Kickers 1

HCI has the trophy because they won the tie-breaker. And if you weren't so busy trolling, then you would see that I had already acknowledged that.
However, they could have drawn straws and had the same results. But the scoreboard shows that we didn't lose. Kickers remain undefeated at home in 2007 smile

Really? Check out the Charlotte boards from last season and see if we did any trash talking against them like you have done on our boards.

Once again I say congratulations to the Islanders. Also, very nice showing by the fans traveling down for the game. It's good to see real fans that come out and support their teams. Almost makes up for the trolls that have nothing better to do than sit in front of thier keyboards trash-talking.

Congrats to Harrisburg, I may not enjoy your style of play but I have to admit that it worked for you this year. Also want to thank the fans who made the trip down, you are always welcome in our stadium. smile

I have to say that even after that save in OT I still agree with Suz about Nelson, his distribution has to be the worst in the league every time he gets the ball he punts it to the other keeper (Same thing happens on goal and free kicks on our side). He still makes some really stupid decisions on when to come off his line. But that aside, from the best I can tell he seems like an amazing team leader.

I have to disagree with Suz on one thing though, I do think that Harrisburg had the better of the play most of the night.

Not sure where I said that they didn't, and I sure didn't mean to imply it either. Sorry and or my bad if it came across that way smile I agree, HCI did have the better of the play the majority of the game, and in a way we were lucky to even take it to PKs (though as a Kickers fan I also think it took character and heart to fight to even the score, even when they were not having their best game). Then it was bad luck for us to have lost in them. But that is where the championship was won; not the game. That's the point I was trying to make to Cyn. The game was a 1-1 draw.

Harrisburg deserves the title of Champions, no doubt about it.

Just wanted to add my congrats to the list for the City Islanders. You had great turnouts for both our games on City Island (CP Baltimore) and it was good to see your supporters in Annapolis. See you on the field next time around!

Yes congrats to HCI. I was very sorry to see Hershey fold a few years ago, especially being a a very successful side. I am glad your area gets to celebrate a well deserved championship. HCI has been very sound since coming into the league and it is cool to see a contingent of fans following them on away games as well.

BTW - certainly the Kickers are to be commended on an excellent season also. It seems like so many of the Championships are going to PK's. It is a tough way to go down. But again, congrats on an excellent season.

PH - get over the correction/rebuke and post. Allison I believe was pretty gracious all things considered. Perhaps one day you will see that she was very appropriate in her actions. We need folks like you to keep posting

Congrats to HCI,

An exciting game to watch to say the least. The only problem was that your game was better than the MLS game that was on Fox first and we had to wait for it. . Maybe Fox will show the game live next year and help with the posting problems

Congrats to the Isles Guys and also congrats to Richmond. I agree, PK's is a tough way to "lose" a game but the Kickers had an awesome season as well, and are a real class act in the USL-2.

Forgot to add this before, but do you think the team/city will be planning any sort of tribute/parade for the team? My brother lives on the outskirts of Harrisburg and the kids love a parade!

Or check out the Galaxy board after the Open Cup, where their fans pretty much said we were the classiest they had seen, especially after beating them.

Congrats Harrisburg! Enjoy your victory, we want it back next year laugh
