7/25 City Isles v CP Baltimore

According to the City Islanders website, Harrisburg defeated CP Baltimore 2-0 tonight behind goals by Brian Ombiji and Mo Odour. Matt Nelson registered his ninth shutout of the season. All but assures a playoff spot and makes this Saturday's clash at home with Richmond a chance to take the lead for the regular season title (a win would still have the City Isles down by two points, but with a game in hand). Way to go, guys!!!

I would think Skyline would be pretty full, if not a sell out with Richmond visiting on Sat..

They played better than we did. CPB never had a rythm and looked tired.
The Islanders travelled with a nice group of supporters. About 20 or so.
Props to Harrisburg. They were the better team tonight and got better results this season.

I wondered how many were there, in Baltimore. (PS, Suz, don't send me any more pms, since I can't respond, and I'm not obssessed.)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, y'all are lucky to have such a great guy tending your nets. A genuine guy who really is passionate about the game and appreciates the fans. Still jealous he's now yours since we lost our team here in the Beach. Keep up the great work, Harrisburg!!!

Unfortunately, Nelson wasn't ever really tested by our boys. I have yet to see the guy have a standout performance.
Last night, CPB didn't put jack on the frame. I wanted to see him have to make a save.
The times that I saw him play at the Soccerplex with the Mariners he had subpar performance.
Everybody says he's great. After the game, that's all that I heard. I'm hoping to see it live for myself or on tv sometime...

I would also guess that Harrisburg brought closer to 45 supporters or so. (PS, Suz, don't send me any more pms, since I can't respond, and I'm not obssessed.) Man. You are one lucky dawg. I would be thrilled to get more pm's from Suz. Dude, what is wrong with you?

I feel the same as you, Nelson played absolutely terribly against DC United, and he cost us the win when we tied CPB, I also have yet to see him play a solid game, notice most of his shutouts have been with one or two saves and are really the product of or outstanding defense.

Here's the report from today's Harrisburg Patriot-News story: "The game was attended by 401 onlookers in the 36,000-seat Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium." Talk about fans rattling around in a stadium!

He hasn't needed to come up very big most of the season, tis true. But in the Cincinnati game, he had a big 10 save performance that preserved a one goal victory. Credit to the City Isles defense for not forcing Nelson to save the day repeatedly. I trust Nelson between the pipes when it counts most.

Without the hounds this season, I'll root for the City Isles in the playoffs.

All I said is that I'm sure that the Richmond fans are glad that they don't have you rooting for them. I would feel the same way even if the Hounds were still in operation. And obviously I am correct about one fan since Mikeyratt just agreed Until next season, I'm free to cheer for whomever I want. Of course you're free to cheer for whoever you want. Again, it doesn't even depend on the Hounds being around. Just like last year you cheered for Cincy. Still doesn't change the fact that you are a bandwagon jumping, non-game attending, faux-journalist. See, you even embarrass yourself
