There is no doubt the Southwest Division of the PDL is the toughest heat of all divisions. I take honor in mentioning the above because I have not seen such intensity, tactic, strategy, and dominance from the side-line as much as I have seen this year out of our group.

Simply put, it is peculiar that only one PDL team from the west can qualify for the Open Cup... even if they gallop with WINS over PSL teams.

Spokane advances and we hope they do well. As for PSL teams making a run for the CUP... we also wish them well. Make the west coast proud gentlemen.

he has a very legitimate point. Two USASA go from the West, but only one PDL. Fresno and Spokane did not even play each other. The Northwest PDL division is no where near the caliber of the Southwest. That actually is an un biased opinion. There should be a PDL team from the Southwest involved.

Sure the west could use more PDL in the Open Cup, but it doesn't mean that the PDL SW is the best. And how is it that Fresno didn't qualify for the Cup???

Win all your Open Cup qualifyer games and shut up about the SW being so great. If you were that good you would still be in it.

I guess they feel good about pounding on the college PDL team, BYU. What has their record been so far, 1-30?

We did not make the Cup because Spokane won all four of their qualifiers.

We on the other hand, have Orange County (mainly UCLA grads & '03-'04 student/athletes). They are fierce, physical & talented. That's why they are always ranked in Top 3 in NCAA anually.

We ended knocking each other out because we both beat each other once and were 3-1 in Open Cup quals.

As for BYU, we have only played them twice in 35 games. There isn't much to say about that.

I'm not trying to sound arrogant or pretend like your teams are not good. I am sure your squads are very talented. However, I am simply stating that if we played in your division, (O.C. Bluestar, So. Cal. Seahorses & Fuego) we would literally dominate ...that is a fact my friends!!!

We would still be in it if we had more teams in the west. If that were the case, the USSF would format a more fair qualification.

At this time, two USASA teams advance to the CUP even if they are not affiliated to the USL. That isn't fair but we'll deal with it until more franchises evolve.

Once again, you travel to Fantasy Island. Its a FACT that you would dominate our division? Maybe if you didn't play the same 3 teams we could talk. Maybe if you guys didn't bite it before the playoffs every year. And we not talking SW vs SE. SE is just Florida. You said you would dominate every where in the USL.
Oh by the way, why is USASA not being affiliated with the USL matter? The US Open Cup is just that, a OPEN Cup for all US teams.

Look, this is our second year in the league. So when you say we choke every year in the play-offs, you're wrong. We have only had one play-off in our brief history.

I did mention our division being the strongest in the PDL and I stand by that. I will leave it at that.

What I meant about USASA, is that it is unfair they get two teams in the Cup... That is just the way it is at this time.

On the other hand, the West only gets one team in. The reason, we don't have enough teams over here... yet. However, we are evolving progressively.

Honesty... yes!

Fuego is one of the top 3 teams in the PDL and if we were in D3 maybe that league as well. The only impairment that could hurt the team in '04 are the injuries favoring our opponents. The Fuego will pull through one way or the other.
