KC is a very young team, they started out with a bang beating Boulder twice, Sioux Falls, and Wisconsin and losing to Des Moines in OT. Their first road trip saw them lose to Nashville and Memphis. Nashville was a close game, there were some questionable calls and a red card for KC that should not have happened, this is according to both teams. KC played Memphis with 17 hours rest and they were just worn out, Memphis with the easy win. Their only showing this year in which they were not competitive.
KC is a young team, for the most part their starting 11 will average less than 20 years old. They are very fast, teams with slow defenses better watch out. In Memphis they were tired and I think Memphis scored 3 times on bad passes by the KC defense (not enough zip on it) and the GK's inability to read what was going to happen next.
KC will be without Willan John this weekend as he is in the McDonalds All American game in NC, but will have the services of one of their key starters that has been missing, Drew Perkins.
Actually you guys are unlucky this weekend, the next few weeks many of the U19 U18 players will be out for cup competitions, this weekend I've heard only one is going to be out.
KC will be playing St. Louis at home the day before playing Sioux Falls, since it is a home game they will have plenty of depth, depending on the early results of the St. Louis game, KC can rest many starters for the trip Saturday, if that is the case they can be very dangerous because of their ages, they can go forever.
And KC also will know the main defensive strategy, STOP MIKE.
PS William John had two assists and Drew Perkins one assist on the last game between KC/Sioux Falls, Ryan and Bleyenberg scored the three goals and they should be ready for this game as well, so Sioux Falls should know what to expect.

i will be at the kansas city game at least this weekend, since i have some friends in the area perhaps i'll catch the strikers and a royals game. from what i hear about the games, there will probably be many players missing from the thursday game because of work and school committments, but i believe many of the players will be meeting the team in kansas city for the game on friday, so the team facing the brass should be much stronger then the one on thursday. by the way i have a few injury updates, josh schreck sustained a large gash near his eye on saturday but should be available for the both games. i'll try to give reports for both games on saturday.

i think, in addition the work and school stuff, a bunch of the younger strikers will still have state cup games on thursday. i hope this isn't another game with 11 guys a keeper playing field...

Memphis played with 10 again tonight so anything is possible (5 times out of 8 games), the bad part is you pay the USL a fine for having less than 14 at a game (unless they get some type of exception)

[/b]just looking at the stats, he assited on the last sioux falls goal. bogdanov had 3 goals and an assist. st louis actually scored first, and then all hell broke lose. i'm hoping sioux falls posts a press release or something, so we can get more details (since i'm assuming latenightcreeper won't be home til saturday).

St. Louis should have a good team in KC tonight. Josh Shrek played with us (the Brass) last year and has many friends here. Sorry to hear of his gash. There are a lot of Scott Gallagher players I know from years past that played with and against some of us over the years and now play with St. Louis.
