Of course this does NOT regard the play on the field against my Minnesota Thunder, but I sincerely hope that your franchise is successful from a business standpoint and development of USL-1.

Thanks, Lightning Striker. I was at the match, and felt that the Aztex definitely had the nerves at this "opening night". However, I was pleased with our ability to snap out it, and the challenge that Minnesota brought to Austin. This was our second view of a USL1 side, as we played Puerto Rico to a 0-0 draw a few days before they lost to Cruz Azul.

It's still early, and we face Vancouver tomorrow night, but I'm pleased with not only the progress the Aztex are making, but USL1 as a whole.

Vancouver will be a MAJOR test for your new team and the USL live video crew. I'll be watching tomorrow night.

Hopefully your fan base will find this forum and generate a good strong supporters group.

We have a pretty well organized supporters group in Chantico's Army (www.chanticosarmy.com), especially considering we've been in existence just under a year. We also have supporters in the Lone Star Delinquents and other groups forming every day.

Some of us blog here occasionally, but the bulk of the Aztex supporters use the Big Soccer forums. So we'll post here, but feel free to come over and check us out on BS when you can. And of course, we've got the standard FB presence.
