Why don't the Baddery suspend Watsons contract for slapping?
You just want us to dump Scotty so you can pick him up. Nice try.

Hell would freeze over before Scweitzer would be allowed to don a Battery jersey. We expect a certain level of Class amongst our players.

UPDATE - Unless the League's actions re: 7/24 turn out to the liking of The Battery - we forfeit the 8/9 Match @ Syracuse - Chas has nothing to lose & that puts The Battery in the position of strength in this matter...

How is THAT a position of STRENGTH?! All that does is pretty well screw over anybody who is behind Syracuse in the rankings. Not only giving them (Syr) 3 free points, but not making them work for it either. I don't know if they have matches right after that, but letting them have a night off to rest can also affect the outcome of their next match too. That's just ridiculous and I can't even believe a team owner and/or coach would even CONSIDER doing something like that. I'm hoping you're just joking about it, because if a team (ANY team) forfeited a match that affected the playoffs just to be stubborn, then the league should do something with THAT team. -Ken

Prehaps the problem is the league is dragging their *** and Charleston is trying to put a fire under it?
When FIFA has mandated yellow cards for player removing their shirts, you would think something invovling a fan would merit a serious fine and some suspension. I mean how long did Cantona get?
As for Watson starting it. We are talking about two different incidents here.
One was on the field after the match. There was some shoving and love taps exchanged but it was broken up quickly and wasn't the worse fight I had seen watching soccer.
The second incident happend minutes later when the Schweitzer started after a fan and Schweitzer's brother jumped Watson.
Schweitzer has a reputation of poor sportsmanship that refelcts not only badly for Syracuse, but with the entire league as well. Imagine some family, and their must have been over 100-200people present, witnessing the melee with police invovled, punches being thrown, kicking, people bleeding. They more than likely won't be back.
If the league doesn't act, shame on them. Charleston's actions should make the other teams pressure the league to quickly resovle the issue.

Nice try Mikey, but that sh*t ain't gonna fly. I respect you taking Buck's back, but the best thing is for Buck to just admit he was pissed and said a few things he shouldn't. As I said before, any of us that that has been passionate about anything has made the same mistake. Cause guess what? Ctown is gonna be absolutely pissed on this one. League has a mandatory three game suspension for "blows to the face." Wilmington player was spit on, he retaliated with a blow to the players head. Both players got 3 games. My prediction, Watson 3 games, Schweitzer 3 games. Not saying I agree with it. Right now the Battery is at an all time low point of the club's history. Will true class show? For the sake of the game and the league, I hope so.
What has happened to Schwietzer? Maybe it was there along, I just didn't see it. He was absolutely the man at State. Loved to watch him make the bigger names of the ACC lives miserable. Then he played for the Dynamo. I never even saw him get a card, I saw most of the games. It's a shame, the guy could really play, for him to be remembered like this.
