Alright you guys, its time to develop the Herd logo. One of my cousins actually works at developing logos for organizations and companies so...if you have any suggestions about what the logo should be let me know here. My idea is going off the Bucks Logo with "The Herd" on the top of the Shield, and than a handful of Bucks charging "out" of the Shield. Use the same green and gold/orangeish(Is it really gold or is it orange?) type of coloring.

Any other ideas?

use the head of a buck looking at you. Make it look pissed.

Maybe the words "THE HERD" across...and the bottom of the banner has a ton of random antlers everywhere. (It looks fun in my head)

Has anyone actually tried to do this or were we just discussing it. The banner would be a great idea to hang up in our corner. Advertising is the way to go.

Umm I tried to get some people to help me design it, but I haven't been able to do that. Maybe if we draw it up or something we can get someone to make a logo of it.

Is there anyway we can get a banner made before the friendly so we can use it for the table.

And/or a poster with the logo on it would work for the purpose of this table, too.

Even if you guys wanted to do a homemade banner with a sheet and some paint, it would be a good start for now, MLS fans certainly still do this.

Ya i see those all the time at DC United games. Their pretty easy to make.

Ok guys, I actually sat down this weekend and figured out how to use photoshop...to the point where I can create a simple logo. Let me know what you think, I'm open to some ideas for change...nothing to crazy that I won't be able to figure out though haha.

What I am thinking is that maybe we want to put "The Herd" on top of the circle and "Michigan Bucks" underneath? I was just sort of looking for some filler for under the Leaping Bucks.

If you want it to say "soccer" in some form, you might want to put "The Herd" on top, with "Bucks Soccer" on the bottom.

Another option would be to draw a soccer ball where you put the double-dots between the top and bottom wording, but this might be too cutesy. A soccer ball somewhere might be desirable, though.

My question about the writing under the three bucks: if you create the logo on a patch (two-by-two or three-by-three inches), would it be readable?

Artistic criticism only: there is almost too much green and yellow/orange in the drawing. I would make the inner and outer cicles black, to give it more contrast and depth.

(Sorry, everyone, I've stayed away from the boards since my overseas trip; still way too busy. Also, I have another appointment on May 9, so I'll have to miss the friendly. I'm working toward running the TV production on May 17.)

I don't know if I can do the soccer ball thing, I'm not that advanced where I can draw something, and I think it would be a little over the top.

I do think its probably a good idea to put "The Herd" on the top and Michigan Bucks underneath. I'll play around with some black to see what it looks like. Stay tuned, by tomorrow I will have something up and if its good we submit it!

I like this one a lot. I don't think a soccer ball is really necessary. Its just my opinion but I don't necessarily like soccer related logos to have a ball in them. Do other sports teams logos or supporters logos have the object that their team plays with in said logo? Very rarely. A few MLS teams still do this, but I think this will work for now.

Alright cool...I think the one with some added black is the best looking one. And ya I tried to mess around with a soccer ball and it just didn't fit.

So if I don't hear a massive wave of complaints about it, than we have reached our logo for the time being!
