We could call ourselves the BuckHeads, assuming we could score sponsorship from the company. Then again, is Buckhead beer still around?

This endeavor may be "piled high with difficulties"* thanks to the fact that "Bucks" rhymes with "*ucks". Can't tell you how thankful I am towards my parents for saddling me with the initials "DMF".

* Kudos to anyone who can source that reference. Without using Google.

Yeah, Bucks definitely has a few rhyming issues...but hopefully we can keep it relatively family friendly.

I think the name shouldn't necessarily be Bucks-related...more MICHIGAN or DETROIT related.

Okay, I'll play along - here are a few bad names to consider;

"Stags & Does"
"The Headlights" ...(as in deer caught in...)
"The Hunters"...you could call the supporter's section "The Trophy Case" or "The Salt Licks"!
"The Buckshot Boys"

Given a little time I'm sure I could come up with some others equally as bad!

I'm just worried that people are more concerned with naming the group, than actually helping with it.

It's been said, that the hardest part of creating a new (something) is naming it.

Let's keep this thread to actual real names, not jokes.

[But, OK, here's my one bad idea: BUCKSS meaning: (B)ucks (U)ltimate (C)orner (K)ick (S)upporters (S)ection.] I am working on a name like that, that can be compressed into a word. (Drats, I can't remember what that kind of name is called.)

Well, the name has to come first. Once you get a solid name that people can get behind, then I think everything else will fall into place. If we can put together some legit suggestions, and start to narrow it down, it would be a big step in the right direction.

If the name is corny, then people aren't going to take it seriously, so it's important to come up with something good.

The Herd would be good if it was a "Bucks-specific" supporters group. Actually might not be too bad for a Michigan-related one, since deer seem to almost outnumber people in this fine state.

I really like Mitten State Supporters Club

or Great Lakes Supporters Club.

Any thoughts?

Gotta say that "Mitten State" in some form is kinda' catchy.

My latset incarnation to create a name that is the initials of other words. (Geeez, still trying to remember what that is called):

FanTASM

meaning: FANs To Advance Soccer in Michigan.

OK, another point. Anybody gonna organize a viewing party for the USA-SWE game? Sorry, I probably couldn't make it. And then you can hammer out your final suggestions for a name. I really want to nail the club name down, soon.
