Alright, I know the big plan is the road trip this week, but we do have a home game on Thursday vs Toronto. So lets try to get a decent sized crowd there again, I'll set up a facebook thing again for it, and lets use the Open Cup momentum we had at least and take it into this game.
Again we are doing pretty well for a first year thing guys!

I will be there at around 6:30. I'm not sure if we want to have some snacks on hand or not (your call), but I will try to remember and bring MLS soccer ball from last week for some pre-game kicks.

The Bucks have signed two more players, releasing Luke Norman and Spencer Thompson.
The new players are Billy Weaver, a Lake Orion native, playing for Indiana University. Weaver was Michigan's Mr. Soccer for the 2003-04 school year. He will wear #23.
The Bucks have also signed Machel James, a native of St. Ann's, Trinidad, and a midfielder/defender for Oakland University.
Both players are available for selection for Thursday's match.

I can't help you for Thursday, but I'll be bringing my ticket for the July 5 game against Cincinnati. I have other plans that I have to attend, so anyone who needs it can have it.
And Spence got released?? That has to hurt. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere. Maybe he'll join his former HS teammate with the Edge. We all know it's easier to make the squad there. Their coach has been recruiting guys from State, so it wouldn't surprise me.

I will be at the game on Thursday but I hope to bring more people with me this time. I have gotten at least one more hooked. Keep bringing people and we can grow.
Any word on our scarves and/or if we will ever be able to buy a jersey?!?
We need to properly welcome the new guys too!!
Random question, anyone know if there is a Detroit MLS petition or supports page?

I would think the scarves should be ready by now. Someone needs to talk to Kyle about that; he would know.
As for the MLS petition, the Duggans started a grassroots MLS Detroit campaign around 2004, and obviously it didn't go as well as they would've hoped. I do know this: thanks to expansion, Detroit is now the largest metropolitan area without a pro team in North America. I would think once a dedicated investor shows up it would be a lock.

July 5th will be the debut of the scarves, sorry guys.
There was a grassroots MLS Detroit campaign back in 2003-04 but it didn't materialize into much.

That's all they have ever lacked. Dan Duggan even did the legwork for finding potential candidates for an SSS, in the hopes that AEG might take a peek at Detroit. All they need is Mr. Big Checkbook, and MLS is in Detroit in a heartbeat.

Well again, the whole deeper meaning behind starting the Herd was to maybe encourage some Mr. Big Checkbook to see that there could be a fan base for an Upper level soccer club in Detroit. I think we have done a good job so far recruiting people out, but lets be honest...starting a supporters club and getting people out to watch PDL games is a lot different than doing the same thing for MLS...it would be much easier to do so for an MLS team compared to PDL.
Maybe if the Herd grows so does the chances of MLS in Detroit?

Yes we are. Arrangements will be made in the event Craig can't make it, which is very likely since his graduation party is that day. We will have drum, and we will have cowbell...no need to fret. :p
