Thanks.
That keeper could be Matt Pickens from SW Missouri State, last year's PDL Goalkeeper Of The Year. This was a side that featured (at times) MLS draftees Ricardo Clark, Tim Regan, and Hamid Mehreioskouei and PDL Defender Of The Year Denny Clanton (U. of Dayton) as well as Indiana's Ned Grabavoy and future Man Utd. youth teamer Jonathan Spector. With the exception of Clark (destined for superstardom) Matt is as good as any of them.
Pickens has a year of college eligibility left, but perhaps (if Matt is the rumored guy) he wants to get some pro experience and get into the US U-23 picture. Having watched Matt in almost every CFR home match last season, he has all the physical tools, size/athleticism to succeed as a pro. He is an especially good decision maker. The Eagles would be a nice place for him to break in. Do we give up Pickens in exchange for Rob Mowu?
