Message from big soccer. People have opinions already????? Are we giving him a chance or what?
""Now, as to your comment about the new coach. Have you done any research on him? This is his first head coaching job, so yes perhaps he may be inexperienced. Does that mean he won't be good for the club? No, asolutely not. He was an assistant coach before b/c everyone starts as an assistant coach pretty much (By your theory, Portsmouth hiring Tony Adams to be the new coach is terrible b/c after all Adams was only an assistant coach, he must be terrible then). Now lets look at the facts. The new coach is one of the youngest to ever receive the UEFA A license. He's the youngest to ever be a key speaker at the NSCAA convention. He grew up in the West Ham academy reknowned for creating young talent (played along side the likes of Joe Cole, Michael Carrick etc). Was good enough to sign for NEC Nijmegen an Eredivisie team in Holland as a young professional. His father was the legend (and I do men LEGEND) Alan Hudson who is still reveared by Chelsea fans, which means that Anthony grew up in a soccer home with one of the greatest English soccer minds of his time.
So considering all of that, there most likely isn't a single coach in USL2 with those kind of credentials (in fact there isn't). Does that guarantee success? No, nothing is guaranteed, but I'd say we should give him a fair shot. Now before you go off calling me an RMD supporter, I could care less about the team to be honest. I actually played against them last year and they were crap, and that's probably an understatement. But I do know, personally, this new coach and have trained under him and believe me the man knows what he's talking about.
Take all this for what you want.""
