seems like a lot of rumors about teams popping up in FL. how many of them are true and will the teams last?

Yeek! Well, I have family in PSL. That would be great, but doable? PSL is only two counties north of where the Pumas are, and I thought they bordered Orange County, which already has Ajax and the Kraze. It'd be neat, but the realist in me says "Go Pumas!"

St Lucie County is a ways from Orange County (Kraze, Ajax) by about 2 hours or so.

But St Lucie is fairly close to Palm Beach (as mentioned above) and Cocoa Expos.

If they come in as a PDL team, there is local PDL nearby for rivalry.

Although it would be cooler if they came in as a USL1 team and played Miami FC and the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers!

And since we're wishing... the USL FD squads of the Tampa Rowdies and Ajax Orlando! haha

St Lucie going USL1 might be far off, but Ft. Lauderdale is very close to happening.

I don't think theres much fanstasy involved here.

I thought the Ft. Lauderdale idea was thrown away. With Miami's attendance numbers going to the trash, even with Romario; I think the area is showing once again, they could care less about anything non-NFL.

I've personally heard recently from those involved with the Ft Lauderdale bid. They are still pressing ahead and hopefuly for a 2007 debut.
