It's not that I want to be mister negative or the ultimate criticiser, but this has bothered me for a while and I am interested if I am the only one.

Has anyone noticed on the Lynx's website, they have a specific photo shown on the website in many spots. The photo I am referring to is the one that has the Rochester Rhino player winning a high ball over a Lynx player (Serioux). Not only is the Rhino player winning the ball, but is head and shoulders over the Lynx player. This photo doesn't really signify that we have a winning team (or want a winning team). When a photo like this is used on the official website it feels like we are showing that we are expecting to lose the individual battles. Why wouldn't you pick a similar moment where we were winning the battle, where we had the upper hand. At least then, on the website, it would show that we can win, rather than bow down to our opponents. (And the twisting of knife of it is, it is showing our arch-rivals, Rochester, beating us.)

The worst thing about this photo is that it is used on the introduction page/song/clip. It is also used on the News Release page, and others I'm sure.

I have to ask, am I over-sensitive on this, or is there others out there that think this is not a well thought out photo to include on their website. (If others feel I am making this bigger than it is, maybe then I will call myself Mr. Negative)

PS - The website for those non-Lynx fans (traitors) is www.torontolynx.com. (not sure how to tag this for a link, so you will just have to cut and paste)

Absolutely ! Funny that you bring that point up but the Lynx website leaves a lot to be desired.

Image is everything.

Indeed...I'd spend more time worrying about the fact that your photo gallery has all of two pictures showing ANY fans in the stands whatsoever. Doesn't seem like too much adulation to soak up there, as a caption stated.

Speaking of the Lynx website, I noticed it still doesn't have the 2002 roster/player signings listed.

When do A-League teams have to finalize their rosters? I figure it must be reasonably soon since the games start in about three weeks.

What are the roster rules anyway? How many players can a team carry and what do they have to do to change a roster player?

As far as the signings go most of the players that played last year will be back. Aristodemo, Ashton, Serioux - all back.

Reda will be back (he Chats with the Ultras every week) and so will Zagar and Messam.

Potential new signings include Darren Tilley and Elvis Thomas. They actually played in some of the Exhibitions this year.

I'm sure from the reports we post on the Ultras site or on the Voyageurs you can figure out who will be back.
