It can't hurt. Not that the Lynx ever had the greatest team in the league but the old coach didn't seem to be able to make the most of what he had.

He DID have a team that most people predicted would win the league (a few years ago) he couldn't even get them into the playoffs.

I know that many Lynx fans claim that he's never had the greatest team to work with but thats just not true. Like I said above there was one year that the prognosticators over on A-League.com said that they would win it all. As for the other years, it's not as if he had a rotten assortment of players. If Vancouver can continually make it to the playoffs using a large core of Vancouver Metro League players every year, then Pinozzotto should have done better with the teams he had.

There was one year where the Lynx did do well but it wasn't due to their high scoring. That, in my opinion, has always been where the team has fallen down. Great goal tending, good defence, but nothing up front.

Yes we are agreeing. I just like to point out whenever I can that he did have players to work with to refute the comments by some people that he didn't have anybody to work with.

I remember the year they did do well, I was following their games against Rochester via the webcasts. I believe it was the following year that many predicted they'd go all the way and they failed to make the playoffs.

The year after the Lynx did very well, I also expected them to do well. I'm not sure I necessarily would have picked them to win it all but I was certainly disappointed by their collapse.

I'm always a little skeptical of picking a team to win it all in any sport. Usually, its more legitimate to say that there are three or four teams with very good chances. Which of the teams that make the semi-finals is eventually declared the winner has too much to do with chance to make a solid prediction. Since playoffs come down to just one or two games, it often ocurrs that a single brilliant play or blunder tips the entire balance.
