The Lynx used their draft picks to get a defender and a keeper. I seem to recall a similar drafting last year.

Is it just me or does this make no sense? We have a team with decent defence, great goal tending, and a complete, utter, total inability to score. I don't think more denfence and another backup keeper is what we need!

Where are the strikers!?!

No it doesn't make any sense at all ... but then again the draft picks are basically useless...

Disgraceful! It's not that there aren't good quality strikers out there - it's just that coach Pinizzotto only thinks about defence, defence, defence. You can't do that in the A-League where bonus points count.

What's worse is that Montreal drafted a good striker from this region, Rob DeFaveri. Think about it.. the kid plays highschool ball in Toronto, gets noticed and goes for a trial with FC Porto, then follows that up with a few solid years in the NCAA.

And what does Toronto do? Passes on the territorial round so a division rival can snap this guy up in the 2nd round. Frustrating!

There's a lot of talent coming out of southern Ontario, the Lynx are just too blind to see it. Instead, their training camps are filled with foreign players who always end up being a disappointment.

Oh, and Jarrek.. the draft isn't useless. Last year they drafted a player who went on to be the league's rookie of the year, remember? wink

It seems to me that the Lynx have not made good off-field player decisions. Just for fun, make a list of the players that used to play for the Lynx. We could field an all-star team made up of guys we've let go over the years.

Just for once I'd like to see a Lynx team that can score. Even if they didn't win a championship, it'd be a lot more fun to see them lose 4-3 than 1-0.
