Disgraceful! It's not that there aren't good quality strikers out there - it's just that coach Pinizzotto only thinks about defence, defence, defence. You can't do that in the A-League where bonus points count.
What's worse is that Montreal drafted a good striker from this region, Rob DeFaveri. Think about it.. the kid plays highschool ball in Toronto, gets noticed and goes for a trial with FC Porto, then follows that up with a few solid years in the NCAA.
And what does Toronto do? Passes on the territorial round so a division rival can snap this guy up in the 2nd round. Frustrating!
There's a lot of talent coming out of southern Ontario, the Lynx are just too blind to see it. Instead, their training camps are filled with foreign players who always end up being a disappointment.
Oh, and Jarrek.. the draft isn't useless. Last year they drafted a player who went on to be the league's rookie of the year, remember?
