Thoughts- Wow. Where to start. Ok at the beginning.. We almost scored a minute into the match... after that, we looking like we'd never seen a soccer ball in our lives. One of the worst halves in Kickers history and thats not really an exaggeration. Richmond were crap plain and simple. C_R_A_P. Nothing was working for us. We couldn't connect on simple 2 foot passes never mind the 60 yard cross field long balls that we seem to love so much. Gotta feel for Jon-Barry Nusum of Palace for doing up his ACL in the 25th minute. It was sickening to hear much less watch. The 2nd half was MUCH MUCH better. I don't know who said what in the dressing room, but whatever it was, it must have worked WELL. We came out on fire the 2nd half and Bumbut but in a pinball rebound 45 seconds into the half. After that the game settled down into an on field brawl, with several injuries and some blood flow matching the yellow card count... hence the supposed 10 minutes of stoppage time at the end (to go along with 4 at the end of the first half). I think we ended up with 7ish minutes of stoppage time in actuality but who's counting. Both coaches went after the refs after the game pointing to their watches so nobody was really happy about anything. Oh well yet another draw. A fair result I think. I firmly believe we're destined to go 0-0-10 at home this year... which seems to mirror our 10-0-0 formation we seemed to be playing in the first half. Oh well At least Wilmington and Charlotte both got beat this weekend.
Note to Brian Rowland.. Gold Lame doesn't work on keeper uniforms, it makes you look like a dancer from the village people.. and I've been flipped off by MUCH better keepers then you.

Hey, thanks a lot for great match report. I really wish that I could have gotten down there to URI to see the game...

I also happen to HATE the gold keeper uniforms and I don't like the new gold and blue unis that we are using as a third this year. It reminds me too much of the Royals.

I was also very sorry to hear about the Bermudan.

We got a point. Which is ok on the road. SOunds like the rematch has the potential to be a really exciting one.

I'm looking forward to it... smile

Perhaps the Kickers should sign the guy who set the Fuel Perks season record at half-time. At least he understood that to win, the ball needs to get in the box!!!

The gold & blue uniforms aren't a third kit, they're the away. I imagine we wore them at home recently due to the hassle of getting laundry done for back-to-back games. smile
