In 24 hours, we get to see what our boys in blue and red can do on home turf. Hope everyone in Baltimore that planned on coming can make it!

I will unfortunately MISS our inaugural USL home game.

I'm heading down to Cary to see my beloved Puerto Rico Islanders (my "other" USL club play the Railhawks).

I did buy my season ticket package and I will be at the game on Saturday.

I hope that our guys don't sleep on Cleveland or Cincy.

Miss the BORDER WAR? The Soccerplex game should be nice an intimate. Like TSF said, it should barely contain all of us season ticket holders, let alone the interlopers... (just playin' yall :p )

Even if there was an Islanders' game someplace within reasonable driving distance, I don't think that I could miss the BORDER WAR.

The only reason that I'm not going down to Richmond for the away leg is that is my anniversary and I don't think that my wife is gonna go for that on that particular weekend. I think that she will want to do something that she perceives as "more romantic" to commemorate the date that I suckered her into marrying me. laugh

She hasn't had a chance to catch the CPB bug yet. Hopefully she will, too.

Maybe CPB will do what the Islanders weren't able to do, BEAT THE KICKERS when Ole Yanki Yank is in the stands reprezentin'.

I hope that my boys get their act together and that we go 2 for 2 against the Ohians.

Baltimore ain't got no love for Cleveland and Cleveland ain't got no love for us.

We should have Art Modell doing the ceremonial kickin' the ball in the center circle tonight.

I'll be mad if we don't repell the Ohio Invaders (not to be confused with the Canton Invaders). :p

Having said that, for the moment, the Cincy Kings are my favorite UD2 team in the O to the H.

On a side note, Sergio Flores, the forward who should be scoring most of our goals this season, returned a phone message that I had left for the club.

I was like, SNAPPLE, they got our best offensive player (so far) returnin' Ole Yanki-Yank's phone call. They must have me confused with a VIP like TSF. smile

Things took a bad turn and Serg seemed to get a little ticked with me when I innocently joked about them having the players work the phones. Oh well, I guess that I have some more work to do before I can really roll like TSF... frown

Y'all know why he picked that avatar, right? The welder-worker?

Coz my Man be workin' 20 hour plus days to promote--to build--soccer at every level here in the Free State. Dats how he rolls. He got all on lockdown from Nottingham out to Delmarva down to Leanord Town and back out to Cumberland.

Seriously when I moved from my Islanders Avatar (I'm down wit CPB, too so I figured that I had to make a move)--I picked the worker welder guy but I didn't want people to think that I was jockin' TSF too hard.

CPB lookin to show Cleveland who the "real" Stars are!?!

Puerto Rico Islanders looking steal some points from the Pirates down in Cary!?!

USL soccer is FUNtastic with a capital TSF Babyeeeee.

CPB deserves to win in front of the home crowd, they need the fans. But the Kings need wins now also. Since the hounds are not playing, I have to go with the Kings smile
Maybe the teams will tie, tomorrow night.

Checklist for the next match. Downloaded Crystal Palace's "Glad All Over" from Real Player.com (has some other potential match singable songs on there too!), repainting my drum to bring along to the match, laying out the jerseys, warming up the vocal chords, waiting for my CP colored flag to arrive in the mail so I can CP it up even more, harassing my friends to come along, "...bring a pal to the Palace," ...can anyone add to this?

I've been under the weather. My goal tonight is to just bring myself. I don't think that I will be my normal obnoxious self tonight. I will look for you there.

seriously you guys aren't bad but wow some of your players don't like each other at all. That's going to have to change, and soon. Great effort though, you gave us all we could handle tonight.

05122007 Kickers at CPB

Mostly of the Kickers but I did get some of your team.

Thanks to everyone at the stadium for their hospitality.

As always it was great to see Yanki again. TSF, sorry that you were unable to attend the match. Perhaps we'll get to meet in the future

Rowland still needs to adjust to outdoors again. Most of his mistakes in box control and distribution are results of not performing those tasks in the same way indoors. Better communication all around would be a plus. I've only seen two of the home games and one scrimmage, but with people's representation of the errors that have lead to goals and the bickering incidents on the field, breakdowns in communication seem rampant.

I tried beating on my drum all night and the only one on our side (opposing the team benches) to join in was the girl hawking Palace stuff behind us. I'd still like to take a run at singing "Glad All Over" before the start of the next match. Any takers on that one?

I spent the second half down by the rail with the really loud obnxious dude whose name I don't recall but he is always calling for the coach to put Rush in the game. We got on the officials and led cheers with the CPB academy kids. We just didn't manage to get in sync with you. It would probably help if we were on the same side. I like being right down by the pitch so that I can give it to the match officials and try to get under the skin of the opposing players. besides, the closer you are the better I feel about our guys hearing us.

I will try to learn the words to the song. I'm willing.

Trust me, you don't need to be right by the pitch to be heard, especially by the opposing teams trainer. :-)

Ah the sweet view from mid-table. It's amazing what one win will do in the standings sometimes. This will make the drive to Richmond better for the rematch of our last home game. Do you think I'll be chased out with pitch forks and torches for bringing in my banner and drum? I'll have a child with me so I gotta think safety. He's already learned "Glad All Over" and we are working on a few more so I've got to have him there as my wing man.
