The City Islanders came down and took 3 points back up I-83 with them.

They beat us 1-0 in the scorching heat (heat index of over 100 degrees and we play on artificial turf). Their stamina was impressive. They showed a lot of resolve.

I love rooting against Rusty Pierce. I told him so to his face. But that Dude is a straight up baller. I would take that guy on my defense any day of the week. He should be in USL1. Why can't he get a look? I just don't get it.

Their supporters also reprezented in a big way. They travelled well, especially given the incredible heat and they were vocal. After their boys put a ball into the back of the net they went ballistic (it was later disallowed). It sounded like we were at their grounds and not our own. Frankly, I was embarrassed. I'm really glad that Joe and Leslie were ther as usual.

I was embarrassed because my energy output was subpar for too much of the game. It was hot but it didn't stop the Harrisburg fans from bringing it.

Props to the City Islanders. They are the champs until they lose their crown. if they keep playing like yesterday, they very well may repeat.

Palace has got to pull out of the slump.

I wish I could have been there. Then again, now that I hear how hot it was, maybe not!

Anyway, glad to hear Harrisburg played well and our fans were there supporting the team. I would have loved to have seen Morales, Nelson, and Lookingland again. Hopefully I can make the match in Harrisburg to say hello to those guys.
