Assistant Coach Jesse Mayers has claimed that the Kickers have been approached by Hershey players. Apparently Jesse Meyers spoke to the "This Week in Soccer" radio program and said that the Kickers are in a position where they don't have to pursue players - instead the players are contacting the Kickers.

Story here

So, which Hershey players would you like to see at Richmond - and who would you rather didn't come?
Personally I would be happy to see most of the back line come over.

I don't know, the Kickers' back line is pretty good as currently constituted.

I'm thinking about strength in depth. I'm not implying that we should axe any of the current defenders, but it would be nice to have options.

Up front we have Henderson, Jeffrey, Ukrop, Kwaku and Byaruhanga which allows variety and the ability to bring in a new dimension during the course of a game (think of the times Byaruhanga came on and scored after Jeffrey failed to hit the net). Having variety in defense will offer similar benefits.

I agree. Several points: the Kickers' have had always some key defensive injuries and this would prevent the scrambling to adjust for that. (Even though they did a very good job at it, it would make things a little less uneasy.) Also, look at Hershey's GAA last year. It was pretty impressive.
