so, in the opinion of the supporters who are able to see the games- what's happening to the kickers? Seems very unusual to be shut out so many times... rob

if our attack gets that many opportunities it may mean that midfield and the backs are providing ample support but these opportunities are wasted.Maybe it's mental. In terms of substitutions, i have noticed that it's always the same folks coming out and the same folks staying in' regardless of the game being played. Are you saying these follks should be subbed out sooner or what? How would that help the forward to shoot straight??? rob

Maybe switch the starting forwards For a game or two, not as 'punishment', but maybe just to get them more eager and focused if they sub into a match. (also not just out of necessity as in the back-to-back games).
I don't know what, but just some little thing to get them going. KJ and Henderson can take you a long way if they get hot, esp. Henderson because he really seems to be hot-streak type of player, as in our first few matches this year. Maybe they can find it on their own, I'm not sure what more coach Leigh can do.

Burkey's useless on the wing, put him back at striker where he belongs or don't play him at all.

Burke has been quite effective on the wing. Either BUCK shows his ignorance, or he's intentionally giving bad advice. That and he doesn't read. The trouble has been in front of the opponent's goal, not midfield and wing work. Conway's really a winger and shouldn't play anywhere but there.

See there, you try & help someone struggling their way thru the leaugue, I'm staying totally consistent with the purpose of this thread, & all I get is you blaspheming Saint Paul (27 goals, LEAUGUE MVP - Thank You Very Much) by mentioning him in the same post as Burky boy. You know I hope you Knicker types win a few so you'll lighten up a little. Does Burke have 27 LIFETIME goals in the A Leaugue? Will the KNICKERS score 27 goals this SEASON? And BTW - Burke's a striker (a.e. in front of the goal) he wouldn't make a pimple on a good outside midfielders ***. Paul's a midfielder IMO but we are so deep there that we throw him up front just to get him some playing time, worked out pretty well so far.

I agree with dugferd. Switch starting forwards for a game, then sub BEFORE the 75th to the usual starters. If the team on the field isn't finishing then it's time to change.

Why is Burke not on the Battery again? Maybe because they didn't find how to best use him. So Conway's a mid who just happened his way up front? So why don't you cry out for him to play where he belongs- in midfield or not at all according to you, BUCK? No Burke does not have 27 A-League goals, probably because he's still trying to undo any of the influence the Batty had on him. When the Kickers are scoring, his name always shows up on the stat sheet in the scoring summary.
BUCK for head coach of the Batty! He obviously knows how best to use players.
I should have seen it sooner: You're one of those fans who has to trash one particular ex-player of your favorite team no matter what he does, aren't you? Either Burke did something while with the Batty that scarred you or because he left you made him the object of scorn for the Batty's shortcomings. (I can't blame you for that, not having any titles or even one measly Southern Derby to call your own) I'm not sure it matters which of those is the case. You're pathologic. I thought we had made breakthroughs in your insecurity, but I see we have much work to do with you.
