At the beginning of the MLS season we certainly heard our share about Becks. I certainly think he will have a large impact in the years to come. I know there is a big push to have JP Angel be the league MVP and who can argue. He has made New York a legitamite threat for maybe the first time in their history.

Several notable players have also made big impacts in the league this year but it seems to me that Emilio Luciano is quietly putting together a MVP campaign. His numbers certainly aren't quiet - 2 more today - 18 for the season. I just don't hear a lot about him.

I have watched him closely this season being a DCU supporter since 96'. I was a little skeptical of the moves before the offseason, losing Adu and especially Eskandarian. My fears appear to have been unfounded. When Emilio was signed, he said he would lead the league in goals and help DCU win a championship. I had to admit I was a little taken back by the order of that prediction, however it seems he is the real deal. It appears he will make prediction #1 good and if all goes well in the playoffs, they just may be playing for MLS Cup at home.

Believe me KC, NY and NE in the East and Houston in the West will have a lot to say about it, but to me Emilio is becoming the "Quiet" Storm and may just make good on both.
