Goal! Around the 87th minute, Sydney Dos Santos tied it up.

Well, I guess it's all done at 1-1. Patriots go 0-1-2 on the road trip. Two points are better than none and the ties represent a major switch for the Pats with not even so much as a tie last season on the road.

Cool. Atlanta's next.

Your El Pepso team is quite poor. They continue their cheating and diving ways and thereby continue to be a disgrace to your fine city, your fascist-spawning state, and the league.

Further, their play is scattered and their passes make no sense at all.

Your goalie Llamas caused the only goal against due to a senseless penalty he took. He had the ball fully in his posession after an easy catch on which he suffered no contact, and then right in front of the referee knocks a Vancouver player to the ground from behind! Vancouver was given a penalty shot and Llamas was given a yellow card. Rightly so. Vancouver scored on the penalty shot.

Later in the game, when I gave him some friendly taunting about having an assist on the only goal against - despite there being many children around - he responds with a string of expletives and calls my mother "a cheap whore". How creative. And on Mother's Day no less. Other of your players have acted similarly when visiting here each season.

Your team always has been and continues to be a classless bunch of cheating crybaby divers. The only way I'd be more ashamed than being a fan of your team would be if I were a player on the team.

That's The Truth !!!

Well..........

1. Llamas should give his head a shake. He spends the first half keeping the Pats in the game then nails our guy in the penalty area when Llamas had the ball in his hand. He just whacked him in the back of the head. Bad move. We go up 1-0 on the ensuing PK- we thoroughly deserved the lead, but it's funny how the goals arrive sometimes.

2. the Pats goal came on a corner. It was probably the only way, as they never looked like scoring on the run. Not even close. But they have one or two guys that really work hard. Juarez ran miles for the Pats and looked very capable when he had the ball. Same goes for MacFarlane and Dos Santos. Those three represented the entire Patriots work ethic. The rest were basically giving the ball away on a regular basis.

3. For some inexplicable reason, the Whitecaps stopped playing halfway throught the second half. That is the only way the game was tied. We just stopped. EP did nothing for their goal, but they got one and that's the way it goes sometimes.

4. EP celebrated the final whistle like they won the game outright which is saying something. They should be really happy they weren't spanked. Should have been 4-0 after the first half........but as I said, that's the way it goes sometimes. The Caps are still undermanned with injuries and right now is probably the best time to try and take a point or two out of here.

5. Attendance was around 4400. Beautiful warm sunny evening.....pitch was in great condition.

6. The Pats wore a new blue uniform. It is navy blue with a wide red/maroon stripe down the side of the shirt that continues down the shorts. The stripe was marked by diagonal navy pinstripes. Navy shorts and socks. It isa actually quite a sharp looking kit and totally different from their old one. Pepsi still the shirt sponsor.

You guys got away with one tonight. Be satisfied with it and hope that the team improves vastly or it will be a long season.

The Whitecaps stopped playing halfway through the second half? Gee when have they started playing this season? They are crap, crap, crap.

Anyway guys, my site has my take on the game and it has some photos of the game in the galleries.

The Truth,
Can you tell me what A-League or MLS team you play for? It just seems to me that you are such an expert in soccer that you must be playing at a higher level than the A-League. I just think that you should go play in Europe for a year than come back and insult players that can easily embarass you on a soccer field. Out of several hundred posts on this discussion board, I have yet to see someone act so uncivilized. I do agree with you when you say that it is imature for a player to yell back at a taunting fan, but I also think that perhaps, it is the Whitecaps who are embarassed to have you as a fan.
That is the truth in my book.

Wow. I guess it's nice to hear only one Whitecaps fan bash the Pats for diving and cheating.

I think for El Paso it was something of a victory. It has to be the first time in over a year where two out of three road games didn't end in a Patriots' loss.

They do not have scoring touch. They do not have a forward to receive and hold a ball to create offense. They DO have an improved defense. Aside from a butt-kicking in Seattle, that's four games with only one goal allowed. I don't know if it's that everyone else is crap -- I tend to call it good "D".

The Pats were lucky not to get spanked? Really?! And it took a moment of cerebral flatulence on the part of our goalie for the Caps to get their goal? Tsk-tsk.

LOL!
The Truth, you are hilarious, among other things that are not appropriate to say on this forum. At least you didn't use foul language like last season. IIRC, I had to delete one of your post. Why is it that K-man and W-fan didn't really seem to agree with what you said? Maybe I didn't read their post right, but they don't mention anyting about the diving and such.

As for the taunting of Llamas, I find it intresting that you say he lost his cool, yet Krammerhead gives props to Jesse for keeping his despite the constant taunting from the Southsiders. I believe he said he kept a sense of humor about it. "Friendly" taunting.......hmmmmm........if your taunting is anything like your post, I highly doubt that your taunting was "friendly".

One more thing, despite what jerks like you say about my team, they are still MY team. I am proud to be a Patriots' fan!
