Well.........it was OK for the first 60 minutes or so, then the circus came out. Lots of players rolling around clutching knees, lots of Whitecaps hitting the deck from tackles from behind, and at the end of the game the whole EP team gamged up on the off-field officials. Your coach kicked a ball straight at our bench.

Nothing more than the usual when the Patriots come to town. You even changed keepers at halftime (!). It was only 1-0, but it wan't really a contest. I think the corners were 17-1 for us, and 19-5 in shots. We missed bags of chances.

But the Patriots worked hard enough. The problem was when tha ball was played forward. There wasn't enough energy from your forwards. Our speed hurt you as well.

But you should winm at Calgary. They're not very good, and the EP team was better than I expected. I predict 2-1 EP at Calgary. Nice road kits as well......exactly like Italy (blue shirts, white shorts, blue socks).

Till next time.......

It's a grand opera, isn't it?

Happy to hear the effort was there. I keep wondering when they'll start Pierce and let him try to set the tone from the beginning. He's benefitted from Millan's hard runs at the beginning, I'm just wondering when they'll let him try to set the pace.

I hear the goal came off a corner that bounced off the GK. Was it just one of those things or was it badly played?

The goal came off a corner that Oliver Heald took. He said after that he was looking for Jordan in the box. He initially thought JJ got the goal, but JJ said that he never touched it and that it went off of an EP players' knee. Basically it went straight in. I'm not sure if that was the reason that EP changed keepers at halftime or whether the guy got an inury. Anyway, you couldn't talk to the Pats after the game because they were really hot about something. We couldn't figure out what it was about, even although we were standing two feet from your coach.

The funny thing is, I don't think it was about the refereeing, because they were pointing to the spare balls, and one of them was kicked: you almost thought there was something wrong with the balls or something?? Very strange......

Also, you must have a new player on your roster. Goes by #4. He was wearing a plain blue shirt without any logo or sponsor or anything, and just a #4 on the back with no name. He was a defender.

BTW, nice looking road kits. Very classy. I'll have my pics and a short video of the game up later, but if you want, go to whitecapsfc.com and they've got three or four pages of photos in the game report section.

#4 is Carlos Martinez. I'm surprised it was such a basic jersey. I'm wondering if something just happened to the jersey.

I think in the match photos I saw the player you were talking about. That might be Jose Lomeli, who just rejoined the team this last week. I saw Carlos Martinez and his jersey looked normal.
