How are the tickets going on the exhibition game?

The word is the advance ticket sales are only at around 2,700 as of a couple of days ago...But, two things:
1) El Paso is a huge walk-up town. If people here know they can walk in day-of-game and have lots of seats available, it'll be a game-time decision as to whether or not they'll show. Unless the weather sucks, there should still be a solid crowd.
2) Lots of the coupons being handed out for the big discount have disappeared and the phones have been ringing all over. That doesn't mean the coupons have been redeemed for tickets, but youth soccer teams have apparently gobbled these suckers up.
It should still be relatively well-attended, but even 20,000 would still look somewhat empty in a 50,000-seat stadium.
"Tita" has the boys going hard, though, from what I hear. I find this a little amazing, but I hear he's the first Patriots' coach to divide the team by position for practice. That can't be right.
Nonetheless, there are a couple of "ringers" from D-1 Brazil -- names unknown as of now -- who've come to El Paso. It will be a Latin-style team (sorry Whitecaps) for sure. Fewer hometowners on the roster from what I understand, although they still have a prominent number.
The bad news is apparently El Pasoan Mark Rowland has decided to give up the game. He is not in El Paso anymore (at last word, he was back in northeast Oklahoma, where he played some college ball, living in or around Tulsa). My guess is, after the death of his father -- whose illness is what brought him back to El Paso to begin with -- he's just decided to move on. He did earn a tryout with the Dallas Burn, but that came to nothing. Sad -- Mark has some real wheels, acquired a good shot last season and was the offensive anchor of this team after Farias was released (and before, for that matter). But if it ain't in his heart to compete, he shouldn't, and we should wish him well.

How many foreign players can they have? X number on roster and only part of that on the field at any time.
