Finally it appears the Patriots will have a viable website. The whole thing looks a million times better, excepting the grammar and spelling. My guess is someone just semi-familiar with the English language. Still a LOT better than the last one. I looked to see if I could find the webmaster but I didn't run across anything.

Check out the new look at elpasopatriots.com or elpaso-patriots.com

Wow.

It was about time. It's a hell of lot better so far. Can't wait 'til it's finished.

Thing even has a display of A-League news at the bottom. Man. The club's movin' on up. Let's hope it translates on the field this season.

It's nice to see a sit redesign, but it will be interesting to see if they keep it current. It's nice to have a pretty site. But if you can't get any information, it's like trying to get eggs from a rooster.

Buck, it's my understanding the gals haven't been chosen yet. But with their director, Laura Rayborn, having an expanded role with the franchise (she's kind of heading up the sales effort) count on them being on the website.

That may get more hits than the team roster.

You're right, Butler Bob. Keeping things updated has been THE thing wrong with the site. There was still stuff up there from two years ago before the redesign. I kind of think the Pats signed with a service that will allow them to update the site themselves, and hopefully they will.

They do need a little help with the language, though.

But El Paso isn't alone about not updating their web sites. I would say a large percentage of the A-League doesn't update their sites on a regular basis. But it's encouraging to see that they have made the first steps.

The Pat's need to find someone who is good at english. Anyways, cdjuarez.net seems to have designed the website.

I am glad to see they are trying to fix things up, I have to agree that the new site is better than the old, but it still needs some work. I guess I am like everyone else though, I'll be content if they keep it updated. And as for the pictures of the cheerleaders, they better be much better then those crappy 2 they had last year. How about individual bios and pictures and everything...oh yeah, I guess for the team too smile

wink I'll talk to D and see what I can do for y'all on the cheerleader pics. smile I reckon if they get you to the games they'll put them up for ya. How do you like the autograpghed pictures they hand out at the games?

Y'all get a pretty good chance to mingle with them during the games too. They are in the stands handing out things.

Mr. C told me that the Pats were going to have a press conference today to announce the deal with UTEP and the Sun Bowl. They should announce the new head coach the first week of March.

The more I see and hear what is going on the more I'm getting excited about the season to get started. I just hope I'm back and a part of it this year. Nine years is a long time to be a part of something then all of a sudden not. Oh well let's see what happens.

The website is being improved little by little. I really think once it is finished it may be among the league's best.

I am having trouble getting in using www.elpasopatriots.com though. Have to use www.elpaso-patriots.com to get in.

Hello...
My name is Hector, I am the current webmaster of the El Paso Patriots Website.
I Would like to inform you that www.elpasopatriots.com may not be a working URL for the site any more, I have nothing to do with this.
I read all of your comments. Thank you all for your comments, I feel most of them are positive. The Site will be updated constantly, but as you every thing it will take some time for the site to be completly finished. The Pics of the cheerleaders will be posted as soon as I recieve them, and it will be up to the administrators and editors of the site on what kind of information other than pictures will be posted.
We are trying to get all the information about the team on the site as soon as possible, and it will be done according to the information available.

Welcome Hector. cool

One suggestion, would it be possible to include a link on the Pat's site to this forum? It'd be cool to have more people on this board.

Nice job guys, keep it up.

So anyone notice that the link to this forum has been removed? (Unless I missed it somewhere) Wonder why?

Anyways, I think one of us should e-mail the Pats and volunteer to do the english translations.

I emailed the Pats a few months ago about working on their site for free and never got a response, I think due to the fact that there was no one manning the site. I have also emailed the new company about helping out with translations, using their own website "contact us" link, but it didn't really seem to work. If it did, they have not responded. Maybe we could email Hector personally, I think he left his email on the discussion group.

Nevermind, I couldn't find his email, only a link to cdjuarez.net which is how I tried to contact them before. Oh well, Hector if you read this group ever again and you want some help with translations let us know. Also, I like what you are doing with the web page, but it doesn't work in Netscape/Mozilla, you may want to check that.
