Jeff has mentioned the Battery and Blackbaud a number of times in his ESPN magazine articles. Therefore, the Regiment has made him an honorary member for 2002 and is putting together an incentive package as we speak to get him to come to Charleston to experience the Battery first hand. Free Regiment goodies will include a shirt, scarf, hat, bag of stone ground grits, (eat your heart out Coach Ramsey) and a round of golf at the Kiawah Ocean Course. If we can get a home date against an MLS team in the USOC, we may be able to pull it off.
