Battery fans. I had the chance to meet John Wilson after the DC United-Metros Reserves game today.

What a great guy! He was very cool, very friendly and very classy. Even when I started making fun of Rochester for kicking him to the curb (to basically bring Sedgewick back?)--he took the "highroad". He wouldn't go there.

[b]HE ASKED ME TO TELL YOU GUYS HOW MUCH HE REALLY APPRECIATES YOU AND YOUR SUPPORT--BOTH WHILE HE WAS WITH THE CLUB AND NOW--AND ASKED ME TO GIVE YOU HIS REGARDS![b] He seemed incredibly genuine. He really has got a lot of love for you guys.

By the way, I went to the game last night too. JW came on for Adu last night during the First team match and he played pretty well.

This morning he played very, very well. He had a crackerjack of a goal. It was sweeeeeeet. He took a free kick from about 28 yards out, to the right of the goal. He put it away in the upper left corner. The ball just dropped in the net. It looked like it was going over.

Of course, with his personality and his work ethic, he is very popular with United supporters.

I saw John Wilson and Ryan Trout walking down King Street yesterday, while doing my last minute shopping.

I know they both own homes here. I think the Mt. Pleasant area.
