Unfortunately for me I was sitting behind the goal so I couldn't see how "offsides" the offside calls were each time. All I do know is the amount of offsides were extreme in nature even for an Islander game and even my Irish buddies were commenting on how this guy was definitely screwing us. They went on to say there are hardly EVER that many offsides called in one half over and over again. What I can say is that we were penetrating and had momentum but it was killed over and over again whenever we started a good break.

Now, with that said, to be fair and partial I have to say the Islanders fans do not help their cause by throwing objects and running the ref off the field. NO FANS IN THE WORLD should be allowed to do that and we should be no different. Islander's management need to crack down on this behaviour next season and send a message that they are serious. To fans that think they have a right to throw bottles and threaten violence I say this, it is a soccer game and nothing more. You must let management deal with these things accordingly, fans have no place on the field unless invited.

To those that say we are being screwed etc. We do not put on a good face or improve our image or status by acting like a bunch of thugs. It is not welcome in FIFA and if you are a soccer fan, a true soccer fan, you wouldn't act like an idiot because things didn't go your way. Believe me when I say this that we are being watched carefully for both good and bad signs. What chances will Puerto Rico have of getting a high profile friendly against a big name team if all we do is act like morons when we don't win. I agree in yelling, letting the ref know his mother is a !*@*#&, but violence, threats and the throwing of objects DO NOT HELP OUR CAUSE.

Hey MightyMouse, and what will you do when a Referee intentionally calls everything against your team, over and over again???
There are tolerance levels, and this season two ref cross that level at our stadium. Adam Nehme and William Anderson.
Were passionate about our team and we will not tolerate any referee coming to our house and stealing games. We are not talking about a Ref that is bad because he dont have the experience or the knowledge, this kind of ref is bad for both team and do not menas intentional or malicious calls.
We are talking about a ref, that intentionally, calls against a team because he personally has somthing against that team.

And it is no about bad sportmanship of our part. I remember the game with Vancouver, we lost 3-1 and everybody knew we lost because Vancouver play better than us, and happens nothing to the ref.

And everybody in this forum knows that there are in this league, good referees, bad referees and dishonest ones.

If my memory is good, there were like 12 offside calls for us on the second half. My memory sucks and I havent seen the game on tv, but thats what I remember.
