He is not only terrible, he just plain sucks. He usually waits for the center official to indicate a call before he makes it. The league needs to dump officials like him.

BTW, here's the link to the Charlotte board since you seem unable to find it on your own. Since you're so interested in "Class", most fans with class tend to support their team. http://www.usldiscussions.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=13

What are you so bitter about anyway? Not bitter at all, I just don't want your team to win, that's all. If it makes you feel any better, I really don't want any other team to win either. Take it as a compliment. I see you guys as our chief rivals, while the majority of my fellow Kicker fans still see Charleston as the main rival. It's a matter of choosing between the lesser of the two evils. Just don't get too confident about having a 1 goal lead after the first leg, especially having to go back to the 'Baud. You guys haven't beaten the Battery there this season, and from the sound of the webcast, it took a significant defensive meltdown to get that draw. Experience counts in the A-League playoffs; that's why Rochester, Milwaukee, etc all do really well every year once the playoffs begin, regardless of how ordinary they might seem at times during the season.

BT, I am pleasantly surprised to find out that Charleston has indoor plumbing. I (and many others) made the assumption that you still had pit latrines since you still fly the stars and bars above the state capitol and you just can't seem to lick that persistent palmetto bug problem.
Mikey, sorry I didn't the get my facts straight. So when was it that Charleston represented the East or won the A-League championship?
Yours in webboard irritation,
BB

I thought you were the history buff, Mr. Butt. I guess you don't have TV or can't read up your way yet. That whole flag issue is so 1999. And our Palmetto bugs don't have anything on that waste dump that Kodak gave your city.
And from your past post here, I thought you were the historic expert on all things and would have been able to anwser your own questions about Charleston's history...
Your Internet dozens pal, mikey

The Battery totally out-shot & out pressured VB Friday nite - although VB's few shots were very hard & on target - VB does counter-attack VERY well to say the VERY least. Dusty made one World Class save & 2 other very good saves. Paul was just flat unlucky not to have 2 nice goals - that was the loudest I've EVER heard a goal post ring - EVER... Goos missed a very early chance to shoot & put another shot wide - Trouty missed an almost empty-netter - that will not happen again. John Wilson had his best match of the year - he was just freaking awesome. I am not worried about Sunday at all - it's halftime & we're down 1-Nil & we're at home - not a problem. VB needs to worry.
The Sporsplex is indeed a very nice venue - great seats - wide aisles - hard to believe it lacked a Pro Soccer team for a year here & there - that should never happen again. Nice, pleasant fans - cold beers but no roving beer vendor & a Heineken sure would have been nice - I have higher standards than Bud when it comes to beer - although I did force a few down - a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do... Josh's Mom & wife & some other great Battery fans drove up for the match. We sat with them & the Warham family - many a Battery fan miss Darrin like I do - they look great & the kids are growing fast - it was really good to hear Erin's lungs again...
The bench-side linesman was a joke - anything I can't stand is a Linesman fatter & lazier than me - is there NO fitness standard? The Center Ref was pitiful - the useless 4th Official at least looked like he could have actually run a line unlike the aforementioned slug - the far Linesman the ONLY one out there who earned his pay - Macdonald hated the crew too - Are there ANY good referees in the entire STATE of Virginia? - It always baffles me how the cradle of American Soccer has TOTAL unadulterated feces for Referees. Augie was TOTALLY pissed after Josh's called back goal - ME TOO & we had a cute little female VB policette sitting behind us for a while after the called back goal - somehow Ramsey kept his cool although when a rather loud Battery fan (NOT ME!!) bellowed for Trouty to be subbed in Ramsey was NOT a happy camper - fans Sunday nite please keep that in mind, it WAS rather rude to Goos or any player for that matter - Trouty came in shortly after but that was by plan - Ramsey & Augie sub on a timetable... damn sure not on what gets yelled out of the stands~!

Buck - Virginia Beach has suffered with that linesman for what seems literally every home match. What you saw was his usual won't make a call, out of position, having no clue why they gave him a flag before kickoff style of officiating. The ref has seen quite a bit of action here as well, so you've seen what we've had for officials most of the season at home.
It was a great game. You're side held the tempo most of the match, but the Soccer Gods were smiling on the Mariners.
Until tonight...cheers!
GO MARINERS!!!
