A good source tells me Steven Kreamer wont be returning to the battery line-up after a knee injury forced him to give up the game. does anyone else know anything about this ????

I think it was Steve who went down after a nasty tackle from someone I thought it might have been in th efirst play off game with Richmond but I guess I didn't do a match report for that match and the battery website seems to be down right now.

When I first saw the title of the thread and who it was by I thought it should be "Who's leaving the Battery to go to Atlanta?" concidering how many players we seem to release and you pick up.

Actually, that was Steve Klein, not Steve Kraemer, that was injured in the game vs. Richmond (broken collar bone I believe). Too many Steve K.'s on the Battery roster last year. I do seem to remember that Kraemer had some kind of minor injury at the end of the year. He played on 8/28 but no more after that and there wasn't anything in print that I could find that mentioned anything.

Nothing official on the roster for next year. Like most teams, there will be announcements of who is signed and then you figure out by elimination who didn't. He came to us late in the season and didn't play much but looked like he could challenge for a spot this season. If an injury has in fact ended his career, that's too bad.
