Well, according the that fine example of fact-checking, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, the Battery have been in the A-League championship game sometime in the last 5 years.

"Scottie is a heart-and-soul type player," Economides says. "It is no coincidence that he has played in the last five A-League championship games (one with Charleston and four with Rochester)."

It also claimed that Charleston had a higher player payroll than the Rhinos did. Since those figures are not released, it's hard to verify.

I just wanted to say congratuations! I had totally missed it! smile

Yes, I noticed that too. I've been up on the Rhinos forum trying to find out about Charleston native Temoc Suarez and I mentioned the error. Someone replied that they thought the article was referring to the old Carolina Dynamo team. They said that Yari Allnut and Schweitzer played together there a few years ago.

I think that's probably it. I remember the Kickers losing to them in a shootout (in the days of no aggregate and the mini-game) in the first round. I remember Schweitzer on that team.
I think that was before the USISL and A-League merge.
