I took a look at the NPSL Teams and it looks that the best Teams for a USL-2 Western Conf. are

1.Sacramento Knights (NPSL Champions)
2.Las Vegas
3.San Diego Fusion
4.Albuquerque Asylum

And from the USL PDL are

1.Fresno Fuego
2.S.F Seals
3.Orange County
4.Cascade Surge
5.Ogden outlaws
6.Boulder Rapids Reserve
7.El Paso Patriost

And finaly a Independent Team that has Participated in the Open Cup.

1.Arizona Zahuaros

A total of 12 Team that could make up the USL-2 in a Western Cof.......

I like it, this is a league I could get into - if I just had half a million for the first year to start a team and 11 other buddies willing to do the same.

How likely are these NPSL teams to jump to a USL run league. I get the feeling from their website that they don't exactly have good feelings for the USL. Are there any NPSL attendance figures? I have been running attendance models and rough financials to see what it would take for a USL 2 to be financially solvent.

If the USL was to add a Div-2 Conf... in the West there will be Teams from the NPSL that would love to Jump up as soon as they can.No Team wants to stay in the floor for the rest of their existance,so why shouldn't they Joing the USL if the NPSL doesn't add a higher Division in the next years?

If the USL takes that step and creates the Western Confferance mor then the 12 Teams I mentioned will want to Join Including the NPSL Teams.

Let's hope this can happen sooner rather than later.

Fresno and Sacramento would be great candidates for USL D2. Sacramento has been very well supported. I think a D2 league out West would entice them to jump ship. They are an ambitious club and want to play at the highest level possible.

In their first year, their support was very impressive, in Fresno. But I thought I remembered seeing it decline lately. Maybe I'm wrong.

From what I understand they were bought by the local minor league baseball team. They had a huge crowd (4,000) for their match against Armenia. Things are looking good for them especially with an ambitious ownership group.

I was at the Fresno v Armenia game and there was more then 4,000 fans who attended the game.Fresno is a good Market for a higher Division Team and they do deserve it.

The last thing I heard from the owners was that their plans were to Jump to USL-1 in the Next Season or in 2 years.
